    Default PS3 Hi-Def...

    Do I just need a regular HDMI cable to hook up to HDTV for HD reception or do I have to get a specific one for the PS3? Thanks. Later, QD.

    you can use any hdmi cable. I bought the ps3 one, it seems to work alright.

    i know on the 360 the hd cables are built in you just have to flip the switch and change the selection idk how it works on the ps3 so i'm useless

    unless your running a full 1080P tv any generic hdmi cable will do, if u are running 1080P id use monster.

    I use a generic on my full 1080p, and it looks the same as a monster cable, I know because I tried one also.

    only if your running a full 1080p tv that uses a 1.3b connecter and its also a sony with XMB should you consider a slightly higher quality. in that case, mono price has em as the 1.3b cables for 9 bucks instead of 5 :-D

    I've used a Monster Cable and generic HDMI cable. Can't tell the difference between the two so save your money for more BluRay / Games

    I use monoprice, their 1.3 version as I am also passing sound to my receiver.....

    And so far can't complain about the quality. Both sound and video are excellent.

    even if you need the really long 25, 50 100 foot cables, monoprice has em with repeaters in the cable and extra shielding for thru wall setup. and their cheap too.

    hell i got my wall mart from them for 18 bucks which was 150 in stores.

    HDMI cables are all the same imo, and yes it should work QD. but the PS3 in HD is the shiznit... to me the PS3 blows the 360 out of the water in that sense..
