I want to finally connect my xbox to xbox live. My internet is hooked up in my bedroom to a modem, and i want to hook my xbox up in my living room. What all would i need and how would i do this? please help!

you have a few choices
1) Run the cable from the modem in your room to your living room
2) Buy a router/switch/hub and run a cable from your room to your living room
3) Buy a wireless router and the wireless adapter for the 360

a cable to my living room will not work because its about 50 feet. to go wireless all i would need is wireless router and adapter for 360?
yes but that will set you back roughly $175-$250
depending on how much you pay for the router, cause the adapter for the 360 is $100
