    Default Rock Band with Guitar Hero 3 Guitar

    Does anyone know if the guitar hero 3 guitar will work with rockband on PS3... I know that when they first came out it didn't but some people say there was an update and blah blah blah... I need to find out before I go out and buy it... reps for quick help...

    Yes, it will work with Rock Band. Just make sure its updated properly. The GH3 controller worked with Rock Band from the start on Xbox 360 and they had to do an update for the PS3 version.

    im actually new to the ps3, but how do you update it "properly"? All I have had for the past few years is xbox and xbox360 and I just bought this ps3 the other day and im still not used to it...

    The Rockband can't be used for GH at all though. Plus they're pieces of sht. They actually have an article in a gaming magazine explaining how to repair each instrument for small problems.

    yeah i hate the damn rockband guitar thats the MAIN reason why I want GH3 lol, but I dont want to get it if the GH3 guitar doesn't work with rockband..

    I searched and all I could find was all old stuff about it not working... havent found anything about if the patch actually came out for it or not

    yes it works. RB guitar WIL NOT work with GH3 though.
