The title says it all, what perk/weapon load outs are your favorites for CQB, mid and long range engagements? I just got the game so I was curious about what other people's ideal load outs are.

I like to avoid corner-turning close quarter gun battles and when I do get in them I use the knife, it is better than all but the shotgun.

For maps that tend to be closed in where you're unlikely to encounter anyone more than 100 yards away I like to use an M249 with a relex sight and a 1911 with RPG (low rank- best explosives perk I have so far), stopping power and steady aim.

On larger maps I like to use the same load out but with an M16+ACOG in the place of the M249.

um, I see yo young ass don't understand. 360 came out one year before ps3, at the end of ps3 1st year they had more games than 360 had at the end of its first year. Besides xbox live 360 aint sh!t

I can't think of any stand out PS3 games other than Uncharted and Ratchet & Clank. As as side note, its not some kind of time trial competition. My opinions on the systems are pragmatic only.

My friend swears by eavesdrop because he says you can hear the enemy's communications, however in my experience team communication is mostly a back and forth relay about how black some other player is or how many n-words they just waxed so I don't see that being too helpful.

my least favorite is martydorm, its for noobs. another reason i hate it cause all i play is hardcore mode, and dumbasses never take it off and get like 10 team kills

last stand is pretty nooblish too. forgot about that one, its only annoying for when you think their dead and you run around a corner and they are still there spinning around and kill you. as for people stealing my kills when i put someone in last stand, i would call that stealing. more of them finishing the job i should have done the first time around. or in most cases for me when someone steals my kills of a last stand they always end up saving me.

yea i understand what your saying, the g36 is a bit inaccurate but its a fun gun. i just cant remember the other perks that i use on my other guns...

I use the MP5 with ACOG Scope...RPGS,Stopping Power, & Deep Penetration

Or the AK47 with the red dot scope, and same perks

tried the shotgun one time and i swear all of a sudden I started seeing people halfway across the god damn screen everytime

I prefer:
1) M16 red dot, gold D eagle, stopping power, frag x 3, and martyrdom for medium range maps
2) AK74 red dot , gold D eagle, stopping power, frag x 3, and martyrdom for close range maps
3) Barrett .50 cal, gold D eagle, stopping power, deep impact, bandolier for long range maps
4) RPD red dot with double tap, martyrdom and frag x 3 just to piss people off
5) M1014 shotgun with grip, gold D eagle, sleight of hand, martyrdom, on vacant and sometimes shipment, but I usually use the AK74 on both.
alternate 5) G36C silencer, 1911 silenced, uav jammer, dead silence, frag x 3 if people are camping and putting up 10003334 uav's at a time.

oh btw WHAT LAG, I have owned both PS3 and XBOX 360 Elite, and In the end I prefer XBOX live over the PS3's playstation network, even if it does cost me $50 a year. The whole system is better and easier to use. Granted, the PS3 does perform better, but on games where the online play is the biggest part, I would say that XBOX live is better.

and dont start any bull**** about how I am a xbox fanboy or I suck at COD4 or any **** like that. I'm a prestige 3, and rank in the top 2% on COD4 in kills. The only reason I'm not a prestige 5 or so is because I didn't go prestige the first time for a while, and didn't go it the second time for a while either. It takes 125900 xp to top out each level, which is usually (in my case at least) 40000 regular points. I have around 200,000 regular points, so you do the math.
