Music Midtown

Not sure if anyone from here is planning on going to Midtown... but tickets this year... $75 friggin bucks!

It's only $65 if you order before April 9th.

That is absolutly ridiculous for ticket prices to go up $30! They better hope to God that it doesn't rain this year.

Nope...the area that they use now is too small and way over-crowded, the price is too high, the beer's too expensive, the line-up is nothing compared to what it used to be, there's nothing but concrete, it's way over-crowded, the beer's too expensive, and it's way over-crowded. If you go, and there happens to be more than one band that you want to see, good luck trying to make it from one stage to another. Oh yeah, there's way too many people for such a small and confined area, cattle are treated better.

but you know they never announce the good/big bands untill like 3 weeks before hand.

LOL, I think I have to agree with it being over populated down there, but I still think it's fun to just get a hotel room and spend the weekend down there. I don't really go for the bands (even though it is Music Midtown) I just like to go for the atmosphere.

The atmosphere, hell it's usually somewhere in the area of 140 degrees and everyone smells like ass. Not my kind of atmosphere. Anyway, I wish it were more like it used to be, but I guess I can not continue to try to live in the past

140 degrees? The past two years I have been it has rained! Nonetheless, everyone has their own opinions and if I hadn't of had fun in previous years I wouldn't pay the $75 they're asking for this year... so more power to you!

I had originally heard that they picked the dates for Music Midtown by looking back 30 sum years and out of all of those 30 years they picked the last weekend in May. It had the best weather, blah blah blah.

Now that's it's rained the past two or three years... they're switching it up.

You can see curvature though LOL Last year when we went it didn't start raining Saturday till it was over and we got drenched because we got lost and couldn't find the hotel, but it was the fun kind of rain where it was lots of rain and no lightening so we played around in it for a while.
