    wow listening to some of jimi hendrix's stuff from woodstock 69'.....the man was downright amazing..i wish i could have been alive in his time period to just expierience the times...guy just captures the struggle of life itself with his music

    Put simply: James Marshall Hendrix FTMFW.

    I have a hits collection you should check out to get you started. His songwriting was equal to his playing. PM if you want me to hook you up with it.

    And I think you put his style into words quite nicely. His guitar tone at woodstock seemed to make every emotion he was trying to express just burst forth completely naturally; anger, despair, joy. Amazing.
