Alright for those that don't know thats from Lupe Fiascos New album the Cool. I know there is already a lupe thread but it sucks, and this ones gonna be better.!! Alright so the question is how would you guys stack Lupe Fiasco with the all time greats? Folks like Jay Z, Nas, Tribe called Quest, Black Thought, Eminem, the slightly over rated Tupac and etc. Or does he even stack up at all? Please come up with some actual arguments that require some thought.

lupe is one of the best lyrically out right now.. ive hung out with the guy, seen him in concert and he is down to earth not money loving like most, and can put on a great concert. he is alot bigger over seas but he is definately making his name he deserves alot more respect than people like the guy above me gives him. just listen to his stuff how can you not say his lyrics are crazy. maybe most people now are just to retard to sit and think of the lyrics to see how crazy it really is. he has alot of potential top 5 out right now imo.

Lupe is a phony, he's in the same market as Tribe, totally disrespected them in more ways than just not knowing the lyrics to Electric Relaxation. He's not even a skateboarder and he made a song about skateboarding. This guy is a straight up phony, just trying to capitalize on images. Anyone else see him on Letterman tonight? I'm not much of a rap fan, but sounded pretty good to me (although I find that all rappers sound 10x better when they perform with a live band like he did).

I highly disagree with the part in bold. Mainly because I've heard where the old school cats(hip hop artists themselves and listeners like myself) don't consider him as a GOAT. Doesn't mean he isn't talented and good at what he does. But that doesn't make him a GOAT. He is like a dark, sadistic version of Weird Al Yankovich. Remember, quality makes a rapper as well as album sales. Feminem never spoke about anything. All his shiit was the same old thing with a different beat. Killing himself, killing others or just plain crap. Jay Z can gets a nod towards GOAT(and I can't stand anything by him either) because he had content in his lyrics. Same with Nas and ATCQ(cept I like ATCQ).
