So Ive got a 360 and usually I just dont go out and buy games for it. As a matter of fact, the only games Ive ever just straight up bought are Gears of War, DiRt, and now Bioshock. Im not a huge console fan either, but with the amount of time I spend looking at a computer at work, I think its necessary to find time away from the PC screen and relax on the couch. So on Sunday I decided to pick up Bioshock. 60 bucks later Im at home playing it. Now, if you're a fan of the Resident Evil series, Silent Hill series, Doom and other FPS shooters, youll enjoy this one.
BioShock is a great single player game, not multiplayer. On the difficulty scale I give it a 5 (10 being extremely hard). It isnt difficult because when you die you instantly get transported to what they call a "vita-chamber". This can be a good or bad thing. I myself get really bored and pissed off at games that are almost impossible to beat at any difficulty level. Often times, I trade them in. But this one makes me want to sit and play it more. So far Im about 50 percent through with the game and I love it. Plasmids and the combination of regular weaponry add to the coolness factor of the game. The story line is great as well. But where I think BioShock shines is the atmosphere content and story line. Its like playing a science fiction novel in real time.
Here's my good/bad list
Good:
- Amazing graphics on 360 , probably even better on PC's that can handle it.
- Soundtrack and audio effects
- Learning curve
Bad:
- Can seem a little too easy
- Not for those who dislike FPS's or want the multiplayer aspect.
