I thought it was a tremolo pedal or something...and his is set up to be like...a "kill button".
I saw a video on youtube where he kept hitting a button while playing it live every half second or so..he didn't use a pick or strum any string. He just pressed with his left hand and hit the button with his right.
Dunno for sure though.
Yup...all he did was hammer and hit the kill button.
