They revived/resurected hip hop after the Rakim, KRS, Kane era... 3-6 has been around for how long and forced to stay underground for how long? Not too many people know this, but "underground" is sometimes another way of saying "sucks". And of course they would have more "hits", they have like 42358234 albums... Also, the last time I checked Vanilla Ice and Mc Hammer had a couple "hits" too, so dont be thinking its all about the hits.. And don't get it twisted, Dre, Cube and E were HARDLY "established" artists before NWA. Cube was orignally brought in just to write verese for Eazy E. Eazy created Ruthless from his D-Boy days, Dre had a little pedigree with WCWC, but established...? I dont think so.

If there is anything to give 3-6 Mafia credit for, is longevity... As far as importance to hip hop, they arent even close to NWA.
