well admitingly atm the 360 does have over all more games. I cant say from a personal view point that those games it does have are any good tho. there are only a few i would be interested in. same on ps3 only a few i own personally. but coming out within the next 6 months I find more ps3 games i want and maybe one 360 game i would even consider.Quote:

i dont think tis gonna take long for the ps3 to trump the xbox 360, i mean to me it already has.. when ps3 home comes out in oct it will be over for xbox 360.. also when 08 hits and all the games come out 360 still cant hang. you will spend just as much trying to get hd dvd player for the 360 and all the acessories.. and with price cuts on the ps3 you cant beat it.. especially if you upgrade the harddrive on the ps3. overall i like the ps3 not just for games but for all the other stuff that it is offering. also blu ray is about to take over the market hd is gonna die out.
I own both the 60gb Ps3 and the XBOX 360 Elite, and I think both have their good points. The xbox has better online play, but the ps3 has way better graphics since it actually outputs in HD, where the XBOX just upscales to HD. The ps3 is a lot smoother and has never froze on me before, but the xbox will freeze from time to time. With the PS3 you can surf the net like a computer, I dont think you can do that with the xbox (or at least i dont know how). The PS3 has a blu-ray player, which outputs in true 1080P 1.3 HDMI. I have a TV that can support it, but if you dont then I guess it doesnt matter to you. I have 300 on blu-ray, and the picture is so good that you can see the pores on the actor's faces. You have to buy the $200 HD-DVD player for the xbox to watch hd movies (and its only 1.2 HDMI as well).
online play for xbox= $50/year
online play for PS3= free forever
I am selling my PS3 for one reason and one reason alone. I dont know anyone else who has one. All my friends have a 360, so when I want to play online or have a tourament I have to use the 360. If I had anyone to play against on the PS3 I would keep it. I just dont use it very much anymore. I will probably go buy another one when gran turismo 5 (or HD or whatever they end up calling it) comes out though.
i say if you have the cash then get the elite now and when all the good games for the ps3 comes out then buy a ps3......then you would have both:goodjob:

Also, the Xbox's thermal issues have been fixed and system break down is no longer an issue on new consoles whether they be Core, Premium or Elite.
I'd like to see anyone refute this argument with actual facts.

ps3 has sold most units since its launch than the 360 did in a similar time frame. both systems lacked games in similar time frames. Except now the ps3 is maturing at a faster rate with the games being released in the next 6 months that the 360 lacked in their 10-16 month schedule.
And no matter who says what the 34% failure rate is a big deal. Dont even lie saying its not. Go buy a car that breaks down 34% of the time and of that 10% isnt covered under warranty by the manufacturer. thats right.. not everything is replaced by microsoft. Ive sold 3 360's to one lady.. why her husband is stupid enough to keep buying more because he doesnt wanna sell his 200$ library of 4 games..
For alot of people, not everyone so dont come back saying 'well i dont care about it so it isnt true" blu-ray movie capability built in is a nice and huge deal. If media wasn't a deal then the 360 wouldnt even offer a hd dvd add on.
Oh and the thing about some dudes gf asking questions about a game... that will never happen with the ps3?? how is that even remotely a arguement that can be substantiated. if i saw a midget dive off a cliff only to land on a llama in middle of new york while playing the ps3 can i say u'll never see that happen on a 360?
either way i havnt seen the above happen and actually yes i've had many girls ask me questions about games and gaming on my pc, ps3, ps2, wii while i was playing with their bf or someones bf asking while i was playing with their gf or just random people. so yes it happens.
the arguement quoated above that you said isnt true also. its a matter of opinion. there are people who do nothing but play racing games day in and day out as there are people who play fps's day in and day out. I play both. Not all the time but i play both. + other types also. You may not like racing games or think they have any depth but keep in mind you think fps have depth because you play on line. And the idea of racing games is to play alone. Racing games can be played online btw.
Otherwise you tell me you play bioshock alll the time and it has superior depth and replayability? It certainly does not. Neither does halo campaign. or half life campaign. or UT campaign. But all their multiplayers.. cept bio of course do have it. Its the interaction of other people that make the games fun btw, not so much the game itself. Imagine if the game your playing was playing "online" still but vs bots instead of people it would be no fun.
Being a vid World of warcraft player i can say the same thing. the game sucks if no one is online. Sometimes when i log in and no oen i know is on its boring as hell and i leave.
either way im done as ive said before in the the arguement is simple. The ps3 is a superior hardware device. the 360 has a larger *not necessarily better* software lineup. Not neccesarily cus i dont enjoy fps on consoles so the ps3's wider list of genre's is my preference. esp since i can import games from japan as i can read it. But again in the end people will buy the system with the games they want to play. be it halo or be it mgs4. the end. And im sorry but that last part no one can argue unless your simply just looking to argue and if thats the case, please die and yes this is a very very long run on sentence.
after reading the last 6 pages i still can't make up my mind. so here is what i am doing i'm going to get myself a 360 for christmas and go get forza 2 and halo 3 and then when all the good games come out for ps3(mgs4 and Gt)i'll buy a used one on here for the low and go cop those games and come out ahead :)

I love how you try to create a valid arguement and judge a game such as killzone 2 without playing it or seeing it in action. That alone will make everyone think you have the best arguement on here.
3 years isnt that great of a warranty if still 10% of those 34% arent warrantied. and u still have to deal with delays on getting your unit back etc etc when you ship em out.
P.S adding heatsinks doesnt solve the problem and it hasnt so far. The problem was the core architecture thus they wanted to redesign it with the falcon core.
your right hd dvd wasnt essential to play games. but blu-ray was because 5 years later games will need 50gb to play.. and the 360 will be looking for some other way to fully incorporate it games.. ooo i know lets make the game downloads. So people have to buy our stupidly priced hd's.
your arguement that fps's have more varied gamestyles isnt true. play on any server for just 3 days and u'll be able to notice how each and every player plays. they do the same things. its not hard.
play starcraft and you'll see just as many different people play different ways. its not just fps's. What does make fps's generally more popular is that anyone can play it and be somewhat decent. you dont have to be smart to play em and so realistically its a great genre for most people in the U.S. we want a mindless game. puzzle games dont do well like they do elsewhere. Rpg's dont do as well. strategy games dont also.
btw having more ram doesnt mean its better. the architecture on the ps3 and how it efficiently utilizes its resources makes it far superior. case and point look at the older p4's and the older amd's regarding their l1 and l2 caches. the amd's ran alot better due to how they set the architecture and the intel's worked but kinda sucked it up. nowdays intel's learned tho.
Again same with GPU.
