its fun as hell, racing with everything turned off..i raced the c6.R and put down a 55.4 on my 2nd lap,it was way fun
The C6R is a handful. Definately the fastest out of the demo cars, but it's easy to over drive it.
I think my favorite is the damn McLaren and the Saleen. Both grip very well.
I also tried drifting on the C class cars and I suck at that shit. I'll probably try it again with the real game where you can setup your cars.
here's the link to the quick video

What was your best full race times. I got a 2:46 w/ best lap time being 53.? sec. Idea way is to get in front of the pack as soon as possible and stay there. I used the Nissan for those times. That car is fast, grips well, and sounds the best imo. It has the high rev sound.
When you hit other cars it gives you a penalty and time so if you stay on the road and dont hit cars you get no penalties.
whoaa, perfect line :goodjob: Using a controller right? I haven't tried running it with everything off yet and sometimes I like to just let everyone get ahead before the first turn just to see if I can get the lead before the start/finish on the first lap :D ...i always get bumped in the last two turns though!Quote:

Damn dude, sick video! Check this one out, the guy pulls an under 50 second lap,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXC9LoDVerg&NR=1 =o!!
Yea I watched that. Pretty fast!
There are still people better. If you watch my his line, there is still room for improvements, and there is a lot of room for improvements on mine. I bet there are folks running low 49s and possibly high 48s with perfect lines.
Since I have absolutely nothing to do before work today, im going beat that damn time LOL.
I tried with the same car. Closest I got to was 50.1's
Class C: 1:06.135 RSX
i was getting in the high 6's with the Z, but the RSX was much easier to make consistant laps. i'll try some of the A/R classes when i get some more time later
Why not make a thread on fastest track times.
58.53 in the Viper A-class
52.285 in the mclaren r2 class. Started using MT trans, its faster but tricky.
put down pretty good time with the legacy. Automatic, no driver aids. 1:05.895
58.789 in the Z06.
edit: I will beat this time within 15 minutes, as I'm pretty sure I can go faster.
52.314 in the McLaren
LOL looks like you missed the 15 min mark.
anybody race the r2 class without traction control n shit?
its more fun but a lot harder, can't wait for the actual game so i can get online and drift again.
Yea I think most of us are racing with no assist at all and M/T
^ yeah all except the manual part....i despise using a controller to up/down shift...i cant wait till a new wheel comes out thaS WORTH A DAMN
The A/T seems to short shift on most cars. I noticed I can ring out the gears longer with M/T, so it made for quicker times.
^ Not always true though. Depends on the car's powerband. It may help you out driving the RX-8 or a Civic but it'll really hurt you in the muscle car class where most of the torque is in the lower rpm range.

I noticed the problem in the r2 class, where it kept shifting like 500-1000 rpm before redline even started.Quote:

1:08.047 srt 4 c class
actually 1:07.176 srt 4 c class
I agree. Even though I drove with ABS off in Forza1, that was one of the first things I noticed. All the cars I drove in Forza 1, I had to turn down the braking power on all of my cars from 100% down to 70-80%. At that level, you could only pull the brakes half way before it locks up. Forza 2 is so much easier to brake with no ABS. The way the cars sit on the demo, stock, you can brake nearly full trigger and it will not lock up.Quote:

There's an initial lockup if you apply too much, gently squeeze it like a [gun] trigger applying a steady pressure then you can apply full braking without locking up...took me a couple laps to get used to it :2cents:Quote:

Yep.Quote:
