    Default Anyone seen War of the Worlds yet?

    I'm probably gonna go see it this week. Anyone seen it yet? or heard anything good about it? Previews look good, but lots of movies can make good previews and still suck heh.

    It was dissapointing. Too much stuff that was contradictory. Like EM Pulse takes out everything electronic..EXCEPT some guys video camera so he can film it. But if u can over look that kinda stuff it was good. Nice effects. Didnt like the ending at all.....more contradictory... just my 2 cents

    Yeah as soon as I saw the guy holding the camera, I was like :confused: but other then that it was a real good movie!

    How many of yall ever read the book?

    What I'm finding is this: Those who read the book, love the movie as it follows the book almost exactly (minus change in location and a couple of other minor details). Those who've never read the book don't particularly care for the ending. But I guess you have to understand the world HG Wells lived in and the true meaning underneath the storyline.

    Good movie though, loved it personally.

    I saw the movie thought the movie was a little too hyped up and it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. I guess I expected more at the end. Tom Cruise, should have died, but i didn't read the book...so I can say the end sucked.

    My girl dragged me to watch this shit over the weekend...

    Tom Cruise should have died like, 5 times throughout the damn movie. Barely miss getting zapped by the aliens, though everyone around him did? He just happened to leave his boot to "fool" the alien cyclops eye thingy, then he beat the shit out of it w/ no recourse/reprecussions?? How can 5 people pull him out of the alien vagina grip before he threw in those grenades? oh and the grenades, wait the grenade BELT just happened to be laying on the edge of the cage, even though it looked like he dropped them when they pulled his stupid ass up?

    i'm with him...War of the Worlds sucked soooooooo much ass...wow i cant even explain how much i thought it sucked...yea the effects were cool and all...but the movie sucked butt...Dark Water was alright, it was indeed sad...but alright
