Damn right man, I hope the west can make a full on takeover again. Nothin like the feel of a good west coast song. You know it's the shit when you can for real "feel" it haha.

Just the other day I was rollin around listenin to Kurupt "Ride Wit Us", good to see him and Daz back on the same page.

^^^ Sorry, but again, Gayme isn't bringing the West back. At least not yet. If he can get some shit done with West Coast people and make his shit sound West Coast, then he may be able to. And I know I don't fell anything he does. Later, QD.

Actually, Gayme is the only thing getting aired out right now from the West. Thanks to 50 Cent and a little Dre. There's tons better, they just don't have the airplay like him. And, although record sales are record sales, I still say it's all the 50 groupies riding Gayme's dick. He's not the best, he's just the only, lolol.

I agree, Julio about your comment on Yayo and GUnit. They aren't shit. They are falling fast. Later, QD.

Lolol. We agree on Guerilla. Oh, I hear ya, on the underground. I don't know how the record industry works. They just all stick to making their own shit and doing mix-tapes. Lots of folks just don't want to go commercial so they stay down. Just like NY and up North. I bet there's a shitload of rappers in NY that are way better than Gay-Z and JaRule.

The West Coast is dead and will never come back. its that simple. not gayme, not anybody can bring it back. if 2pac and biggie were to make a cd tomorrow... it would not bring it back

Damn, QD. I wasn't talkin about Game bringing the west back, but he is getting some attention back on the west if nothing else. To clear that other part up I wasnt talkin about Game when I mentioned the "feel" of a west coast song, I meant like old Dre, DPG, and NWA and shit like that. I was just saying nothing like hearing that true west coast sound.

yea he is, he's bringin that W out to the light again. Thats why I got respect for the dude. I'm down w/ a lot of PhsycoRealm/SickSide spanish rap shit out in Cali, but you think because they aint goin platinum then there aint nothin out West? I gave that up a long time ago. and all these fools, Cypress HIll, DJ Quik, they had their chance but they wanna do the same shit and think thats gonna sell. Game is the first to lay it down on both coasts, he's fuckin with producers from all over the place..Just Blaze to Dre. I mean this dude is gettin respect in NY? All over the mixtape scene?? Whens the last time you saw a fuckin west coast rider all on the covers, sellin out mixtapes man?? He got them fools in Brooklyn bumpin his shit while they ridin spokes man. My boy is up there right now, he says he seen a '62 impala for the first time in his life up in NY

Game was at the West coast conference Snoop and them fools threw about a month ago. A lot of fools squashed beef and getin ready to work together, if they havent already. Game is recording with Snoop on some real gangsta shit right now mane.

    Hows that for workin together??

    my .02

The game is decent, however he doesnt live up to the hype for me that everyone created for him. I bought his album, it has some decent tracks, but most of it is garbage. He has to work on his lyrical content more before he will impress me. RIght now 50 ownz him

I was listening to 50Cents mixtapes a long time ago. i had "how to rob and industry nigga' Way before "get rich or die trying " came out. Now , when his first album dropped, it was amazing. i never heard someone so gifted come out in a long time. the last album i bought like that was Doggystyle, Slim Shady LP, Clipse, Chronic +2001
    .

Im a HUGE fan of 50 Cent, however his new album didnt hold a candle to his last album. Hes gotten to cocky, to arrogant. He's not hungry anymore. Before it was cool how hed go after people and rip them lyrically, now, its gotte n to be a publicity stunt, it seems fake an annoying now. just like when eminem went after people in the beginning of his career, it was captivating, now its just stupid IMO.

I really would like to see more out of Young BUck, i think hes the best Gunit has right now. His frist album didnt have enough good beats for me, his lyrics are strong, but the music just wasnt as good for me. The loyd banks album i enjoyed alot, but i think young buck has more talent than loyd.

Will the west ride again? no, not anytime soon. The Game is the only thing they have, and anyone that thinks a new snoop album, daz, kurupt DPG album will bring back the west is crazy. They are old and outdated, i love snoop, but hes no where near as talented as he was 7 years ago. He couldnt compete in a battle with 50 or Em or Dre or Styles etc. There will have to be a new breed of west coast rappers, and unfortunetly , the Game is just not it.

Sidenote: check out the new Common CD produced by Kanye, its pretty good.

50 hasnt got shot lately man, so whats the album gonna be about? takin everybody to the candy shop...

West will always be on top for some, yea it dont get no play out here, but I got the latest shit in my ride. The Quik/B real collabo straight fandango Lil Rob summer nights, snoop's "nephew" is gettin a lotta play. Mack 10s new shit w/ Nate...Game is of course out there all day everyday. The east coast gets love out there though too, especially the south. I dont see it as the West bein on top alone, I dont think nothin will compare to the days of (uh oh) Death Row, 92-96 was the shit out in Cali!! but the snoop/game tour helped out, and a lotta fools are squashin beef so we will see if that transfers over to the studio and make some muthafuckin hits already!

Again, Gayme is only up right now to teenybopping G-Unit groupies. Street folks in Southern Cali aren't chalking him up like the folks on the East Coast. I'm not saying Gayme sucks, cause if he did, he wouldn't be at his record sales now. When you're West Coast, you're West Coast, not both Coasts. he is both Coasts. That's why I don't like him. Plus I'm not a fan AT ALL of anything 50cent or Feminem. West Coast music has never gotten it's share of play on the East. In teh South, it's all about the East Coast and the crap..I mean crunk music. Up North, it's the same way. Most, I don't say all I say most West Coast people are true to West Coast music and have nothing for East Coast shit. I'm with them. I don't care for the rhyming style, the beat/music style..none of it. Not that it's bad, just not me.

Lastly, I'll give that Gayme is bringing some light to the W, but he isn't bringing it back. Later, QD.

ok .....even though you find my statement funny... but on some real talk Qd:
i feel as if you listen to hip-hop/rap then to some degree its a must to show the north some respect... even if it is just a little bit it....
just knowing that alot of the elements of hip-hop were either discovered in the north or taken to another level..... (graff, break dancing, ect...)

anyway +1 for joining in a civil conversation...

The last East?north rap I listened to and liked...lolol...was probably in the early 90's, late 80's. I got down with Kool Moe Dee, old school LL, Run DMC, Del, Marly Marl and BDP. All the old shit I love. It's the new stuff that I don't care for. Oh, and I did my fair share of breakdancing to Grandmaster Flash and Melle Mel.

Last time in Cali was waaaay too many years ago. But check this out. It stands to reason that his CDs are selling a shitload in Cali. He is from Compton. WHen he first came out, people were buying that shit all over the place. But also, lots of those folks were out saying WTF is this. I've bought many CDs and listened to them only to find out that I didn't like it. I've heard of so many people that said they went and bought it(or even others) and said this is crap. Ya know what I'm saying? Later, QD.

haha, i think snoop has been at such a low level for the last few years that even 50 cent is above him. snoop has the lamest tracks to come out in a long time... maybe him and missy elliot would have a collabo and then hip-hop could be at an all time low
