All applicants should submit their entries to the review board on DVD or other compatible formats for review and consideration. Downloading large files is a huge pain in the ass and requires time this board simply does not have at the moment. We appreciate your interest in this matter and advise you to take the action stated earlier in this statement.

    Thank you,
    Management

D/L'd it, watched it, quick review: not a total waste of time.
Rob, heres my "film" critque: You know how to set up the story line, you know how the natural progression of a film should work, you understand how to integrate shots and cuts.
My "technical" critique: Great songs, E.T. was a good one to open with, don't mute it so much when you pull it down, it loses continuity. Crazy Game is a good song too, but I'm not so sure it fits. The song is kinda "hey we're hangin out sittin on our asses bein stupid" but (from what I gather) your intention with this story is "hey were hangin out driving our cars bein stupid and fast." I guess I wouldnt use it with all the in car cams and stuff, or at least not as long as you did. Your marquees scroll a little too fast and if you're publishing this solely on the internet, you need to find a way to not compress it so much or make the font larger, it was mostly illegible. Some of the shots lingered a little too long, some didnt make a whole lot of sense if you werent there. I know it looks like a lot of "i didn't like it" but it really was enjoyable to watch. Iron out a few things before the next segment and it'll be pretty fuckin cool. Great job man, I can't wait to watch the next one!

P.S.-I filmed at The Untouchable, and you used some of my shots, wheres my name in the "Special Thanks" you ungrateful bastard! Oh and you mispelled "media" in the thanks too.

i agree 100%. great motive. not a bad job for a first endevor. a lil misleading in the title. i kinda thought this was gonna be an instructional not a documentery. in the middle when the racing starts should have narated the scrolling text. 1 this would have kept the watchers attention durring that long period before the race starts. 2 keeps with the theme of natration in a documentory. but overall i enjoyed the movie cant wait to see #2!

yea... I had originally planned on breaking down what we were doing to initiate the drifts and sustain them, but somehow in the heat of early morning editing I forgot to do it.
