right? I'm curious as to what manufacturer it is, Just because it is made by the same company as Kenwood, doesn't mean anything, Kenwood has been outsourcing their labor to korea and china for years.
I will have photos up tomorrow along with all the info. We were slammed all day, so wasn't on IA the rest of the day until now.
The unit is unbranded...hince why I was stating the manufacturer it came from and not the brand.
We do have one on display in one of our vehicles and can be viewed by any of our customers.
We sold all 11 units we had today, so we will have more instock next week.

yea I know, so is Alpine, and everyone thinks they are the best, I was just curious, so is the navigation dvd or hard drive based? And is the nav also kenwood based?
Alpine is good, just their cd/dvd/nav units are all pricey compared to the competition.
The system comes with a SD card loaded with US and Canada maps. It has 2 SD slots, one for the map card and a second one for you to use. The GPS processor is by Samsung and it also has Windows 5.0. I will update all the info on the first post shortly with all the details. You can add a external HDD unit up to 20GB to it.
Simply stated, does this unit blow away a Alpine or Pioneer unit? No. However, this unit offers all the top fuctions, high quality components and build, amazing video quality, and a price that is great.

Thats funny, I came in right before Christmas looking for one and was told that you guys were getting out of car audio and ended up going and buying one at the Kenwood outlet...

No, we are not getting out of car audio. I have been toying with the idea of removing car audio from my Norcross store to make room for other stuff, but will still sale it. I co-own another car audio company and sell much more out of that outlet than the Norcross store. We stock 90% of Kenwood from headunits to amp/subs.

As of now, we have 12 of these models in vehicles and have heard nothing but great reviews about them. I currently have 21 on preorder for car audio shops.

will i still gmos for this? & do videos play while driving?
If you have a GM vehicle, then you may need the GMOS...don't know what vehicle it is going in. It can also be hardwired so you do not need the expensive GMOS piece. Yes, DVD bypass is easily bypassed and can be viewed during driving.

Yeah, you need the GMOS-LAN-03...it is $90. We charge an extra $20 if you want us to hardwire it, this way you save $70.
difference between getting the gmos & the hardwire? & can you hardwire for any headunit for my vehicle?
GMOS will allow you to retain all chimes, etc. Hardwiring it will bypass the stock system and allow the headunit to work. You can do it with any unit.
okay so i'm looking at around 410? will there be anything else i need, how much more will installation be?
