I'm a no go on the V-meet. don't want to rick driving down there on a weak transmission. That and I have to work Friday( OVER TIME BABY and I'll be training = no work).

well long story short I was driving to pick up my brother and stoped for gas. I saw Jose and stoped to show off the motor. While sitting in N with car running we heard a metel cruching noise and I shut off my car. Gear shifter felt fine but 1st was not there wont let me even put it where 1st is. started the car and couldn't get any gears. Finaly got R and then 2,3,4,5 where there and shift fine. Drove it home and let if cool off. check trans oil level its good and shift lenkage is good.

drove it around my road and everything feels great but still no first.

Not short but thats whats going on.

Ok so let me ask you this, does it make a noise while your car is in neutral, but when you push in the clutch the noise goes away?

it did, but not now. I just installed new clutch, flywheel and throwout bearing just before I swapped the motor. It made a noise before I changed them also. But when I drive I can change gears fine no grinds or stiffness.

So you changed the Pilot Bearing as well too......... I didn't see it mentioned in your last post.

yea i replaced the pilot bearing also. I then drove 500 miles on that clutch to august and back.

My transmission has had a wine to it since I bought the car and it stoped after it messed up. I'm hoping to have another trans. lines up for payday in 2 weeks and then it be back up and running with no motor problem. Figures I get the motor running great and the same day the trans. goes out hu. Thats my luck I'm always one step behind.

I will be doing a hydro trans. upgrade later on but I just want it running untill then.

what up guys? Havent been on here in like forever. My car is in the shop now. The head gasket blow, so now i need a new one. I am getting jjspec to fix it. They are going to work on it this upcoming monday. I would fix it myself but by the time the gasket got here it would be like thursday or friday next week and I dont feel like waiting that long when I can get it back monday

Sorry boys....would have came out but the EG is in remission......Getting new shoes put on 2morrow and new wheel studs..... plus wheels heading to the powder coater ..... hopefully.
