I get paid hourly so I don't mind sitting around doing nothing. Plus my phone gets full internet acsses so I can surf while I wait.

I started to try to polish them but my POS drills battery is dead again. Mothers metel polish + mothers buff ball = FTW

got one nice and shiny but it needs more work to make me happy.

Hey I got a Q for you guys that have Vtec. Last night I got on my car on the high way to see what it could do. Well at lower rpms 4500-5500 the vetc was great then all of a sudden I got a CEL and my Vtec turned off. Stoped to see if somthing came lose. Nothing was lose. Got back in and started it up and no CEL. got back on the highway and didn't get on it.

I was almost home and i got on it again and when I'm way up in the rpms in 3rd about to go to 4th. vtec was on and then that CEL came back. got home and jumped the ecu and its code 22 vtec pressure valve.

took it for a ride and vtec works fine as long as your not incressing rps for a long time.
(ex: in 3rd and picking up speed and taking it to redline then shifting to 4th)

As far as I can tell its 1 of 3 things. Bad switch(but I think it would do it all the time), to high oil psi or to low oil psi.

Oil level is good
new oil pump
no oil light on dash
one small oil leak from dist. o ring
all wires are soldered and covered

any ideas

One of the most common things come to mind when you say that and I think it's the Wiring; either wrong pin in ecu or the ecu isn't reading it right

i don't think its pined wrong because it wouldn't activate at all. It wasnt doing it in the delsol I pulled the motor and ECU from so It has to be the switch is reading wrong of when I changed the oil pump(damn I should of never changed it in the first place) its not working right.

good thing is I dont drive it during the week so I'm going to get a oil presure gauge and see exactly what my oil psi is.

Did you check the vtec solenoid or the wiring coming from the solenoid???

all the conections look good. thats whats leading me to a oil psi issue or bad vtec pressure valve.

Well.......It's got me more towards the VTEC pressure valve.. but then again you could for some odd reason have a drop in oil pressure at higher RPM's.

well today has sucked bad.
Last night I was trying to figure out why my pasange front wheel was not sitting flat on the hub. Figured out the iner bore of thw wheel was smaller than the hub(its fine on the driver side) tookmy air grinde to it and that's fixed.

when I was pting the wheel back on my socket came off the lug and I bleed all over my new wheel. Cut the top of each of my fingers preaty good on the edge of the bumper. Thank god there not deep but DAMN my whole hand hurts today and I keep hitting it and that makes it worse.

ther that that is a really nice day today. going to get on polishng my rims today after work.
