I want to lower my car some more but if I do it will be hard to carry my trailer. I do want to cut and extend my strut top hats so my shocks will last longer but its so much work to get them out and take them apart I haven't done it yet. Some time during the week I'm going to replace my stock oem valve stem seals that have over 200,000 miles on them. I'm hoping thats whats causing my motor to smoke when I start it.

:eek: What color smoke pimp? See, I need to learn that shit from you... Yeah I did a mini me swap all by myself yee haw... its valves n pistons that do the dirty work, and though I'd be confident tearing into a block, I wouldn't touch a head with a ten foot pole :lmfao:

Just a though, however it may be taken, I used to have air shocks on the back of my '78 monte carlo... could slam it and make the tires rub, or jack it if I was hauling something. They were both connected to one standard valve under the center of the back bumper so they were always even psi.

I've looked into air ride and its to heavy and cost to much.

Its blue smoke when I start it up and goes away once the motor warms up. Cool valve stems seal contract and oil leaks past them. The seal warm up and expand and the oil leak goes away.

There the only things I didn't replace when I rebuilt my motor.

^^^ Word, then thats probably it, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you^^^

I think air ride and air shocks are diff, cause air ride you have the compressor and the bags, plus the mods to the oem suspension, right? The air shocks just replace oem shocks and have that valve like mine... u can't adjust unless you park and add/subtract air, but they don't really add any weight I don't think. You may still have to have aftermarket springs depending on how far you want to get it down.

yea the only air ride that will go on my crx is a bolt on with a few mods. there 9 way adjustable air shocks. I can buy the front and back sepritlly and put a valve stem syle valve on it to put air in and out but there $480 a pair so I would like to have the whole system.

Damn, looks good! :goodjob: I feel ya on the whole thing. Thats way nicer than the shit I had. If u had a welder I'd say just mod the trailer... it'd cost way less and be way easier lol. I been wantin one for years (welder) but never have had the extra $

I have access to a welder. I need to strip the paint off the axle where it meets the leaf spring and see if the bolts and plates are welded on but I believe there just bolted on so I should be able to put the axle on top of the leafs and get a instant 2" lower on the trailer. I really only want my car .5-1" lower and I would be happy. I may buy a set of coilovers and see what they do.
