im not really concerned with who is the fastest, but i can promise you that these n/a guys will have a really hard time keeping up with boosted EFs.. even if they had better suspension, stock b/d/zc just dont have the power to pull out of turns and straights like a boosted car.

It's not always so much NEEDING the power and USING the power as it is keeping the momentum throughout the apex you had as you entered.Not to say boosted cars DON'T have an advantage...but Autocross opened my eyes to alot of things I never recognized before...

Sure, if you've got a 180-200whp all motor car its going to handle it just fine. But most stock n/a swaps in general don't have a powerband thats near as comfortable to use in the mountains.

I think you guys are missing the point i was trying to make.
Real talk mathew, your car was a Si, lets say approx 90-100whp. Myself and brad both run a similiar suspension setup to yours. Hypothetically speaking because we haven't been together on a track, but even if me and him were both decent drivers but worse drivers than you, we are both 200+whp range. All 3 of us know how to drive a line and enter/exit turns, a Si has no chance honestly of thinking about keeping up. I personally don't run high speeds down the straights and 90% of the time i maintain the speed limits but i do enter turns quickly and power out hard.

Well as far as somebody running on stock suspension.. ive got no doubt you can find someone that wants to body roll and slide their way through the curves but i have a hard time believing they are the fastest up here lol. Ive personally witnessed several guys that were amazing drivers.
What setup are you running? And what tires are you running? JW.
Its really dependent on the day. If you cant put the power down then you wont be fast. My car wasnt very fast. From a dig was DEAD even door to door with a I/E ITR on race tires to 100mph.
I've only run two EF's on the track that were boosted and had no problem running them down. But yes, with the right setup and the right driver, a boosted EF is faster.
Then again none of this effects me. Torque FTW
Quite honestly i don't care to get into a spec vs. spec pissing match but it will suffice to say its fairly similiar setup but not identical. I currently run bfg g-forces which arent the greatest tire but i drive the car to work alot and don't have a second set of tires. They are plenty sticky for semi-daily/spirited driving. I could easily get a set of victoracers or something but i don't have a need to be competitive.
Pretty much the only time i have traction problems in the mountains is powering out of turns, but thats if i exit full throttle every time, i've driven the roads and car enough to easily modulate the gas to where i can still exit quickly and stay in plenty of power.
I'd say that was a good run with the ITR, however you've gotta keep in mind thats basically a 15 second car battle.
But to try and make the point that being boosted only is a hinderance doesn't make much sense.

Ok dude, A fairly stock Si in the 14s.. good luck with that. Im not saying any of our car are the end all be all of the fastest cars in the mountains, my car is certainly in no position to be competing with prepped corvettes. But comparing apples to apples, Its pretty silly to say that no boosted EF could compete with a Si that has suspension work is kinda out there.

I wish. I really do man. I really enjoyed driving that thing at the track. It was probably the most competitive car i have owned for its class. And on top of that, it was cheap. Race tires were less then $200 a tire, i only had to buy front pads, etc. I want her back
