    Default Water pump....HELP!!!

lol im so damn flustered right now its ridiculous. is this thing really that hard to replace?????? ive got the engine mount off and im tryin to get the damn crank pulley off but i cannot figure out how to get it off. Ive tried putting it in gear, ive tried having someone pushing the brakes and doing it that way. now ive got the tranny unbolted and .....drained of fluid..... but im starting to think that ive gotta take the pass. side suspension off so i can move the axle out of the way to pry the engine off.....

can anyone help??? or give me some pointers or SOMETHING. if you could come by maybe tomorrow or wednesday even would be cool. ill pay for your time or lunch or beer or whatever just please help.....

Impact gun, holding the brakes wont do anything, neither will putting it in gear... (unless its that loose)..

    Or the special tool.

Umm, ive never hear of someone pulling the tranny for a water pump.....
Like said before, impact gun or get the special tool. Some parts stores have this for rental. Not sure where though.

An impact gun is your best bet.

Get the honda crank holding tool or a chain wrench.

All you need is tool above unless you have the hex crank.

You will also need a pry bar to hold that tool.

Then put in 17 mm socket onto nut with wratchet and use another pry bar to loosen.

I've got both tools hanging from my wall. I can have the bolt loose in 5 minutes. My buddy uses mine all the time and he can have them free in about the same amount of time.

dude put the tranny back on, take the flywheel dust cover off, stick a pry bar to lock the flywheel up and have someone break the crank pulley bolt off, the bolt is not really that hard if you have a breaker bar, the hard part is to get the crank to not spin, and the easiest way to do is to lock the flywheel up, just stick a pry bar in there and have somoene else break the bolt loose.

that would have been great to know earlier.... lol

i didnt take tranny off i just loosened the bolts. where is this flywheel dust cover? on the bottom or the side or what?

than brings me to another issue..... refilling the tranny fluid. Where is the plug?

is it the one towards the back of the tranny about halfway up???? or is there one on top?

take the passenger side wheel off and you'll see two bolts one with a square on it the fits a (3/8 drive ratchet) towards the bottom and a regular hex on top of it can't remember the size. I think the tranny only take 1.9 qts. of fluid so dont over fill it.
make sure you fill on flat grounds and drain the old fluid before putting in the new one. royal purple syncromesh is really good. if fluid pours out the top hole let it pour out cause it means its too full. hope my info helps

if tools are not the problem listen get a torch not to cut of the bolt but to loosen it up a bit you torch the bolt up till it starts to glow a little orange them you either grab 1(an old ratchet with the correct socket and you bang the top of the ratchet while jerking it trying to loosen it.) 2(or you just put an impact gun to it till compressor runs out of air) if the compressor cannot hold the gun for longer than 2min. at full blow then you need a bigger compressor. the reason for the torch is so that the heat can stretch the bolt out a bit.

ya i was thinking of putting a torch to it but my dad said "hell no you arent gonna torch it"..... or something along those lines.

the compressor should be able to run the gun for 2 minutes without kicking back on????? i dont really see why thats relevant. ive got a decent sized compressor, like 15 or 20 gallons or something.

I got the tool off of ebay.

If I were closer I'd say you can borrow it.

    crank tool

you might be able to get it at napa or somewhere like that.
