Default green91 build thread (peer pressure made me do it)

EDIT: build will be continued at http://www.halffastmotorsports.com under projects

    Hey guys,
My EF has been an ongoing build for the 6 years that I've owned it so this wont be a ground-up build, but rather the changes its going through now. My thread probably wont be as picture intensive as slow_hatch's but ill try and snap some along the way. Ima a Master ASE technician and work at a Toyota dealer so I've got the luxury of 30k of tools and a lift to make this easier than when i first started lol.

I had the car previously turbo'd on the stock d15b2, then on a d16z6, and then swapped in the b16a. because of many reasons i was'nt happy with the b16 so i decided to do another sohc turbo setup, freshen up the motor and do some other mods. since all of my driving is mountain driving i am only looking for 200-220whp which will be easily attainable.

    Car specs:

91 DX Hatch - Tahitian Green Pearl (my fav EF color)

    Exterior:
    Si front lip
Black hood (hit a deer, sux)
Removed yellow from bumper light markers

    Engine:
d16z6 sohc vtec, 30 miles since rebuild lol.
    -acl bearings
    -npr rings
    -arp head studs
-all new seals, mls head gasket, water pump, t-belt etc.
    custom engine mounts (solid polyurethane)
mpfi conversion (redid the entire engine harness, looks stock!)
dx exhaust mani (only while breaking the engine in)
cheapo intake (only while breaking the engine in)
    b&m fuel gauge
    DA throttle cable
    91 Si trans
ACT Extreme PP & Clutch Disc
    gsp axles
    polyurethane shift bushings
    custom 2.25 magnaflow exhaust

    suspension:
    kyb agx adjustable shocks
    ground control coil-overs
    DA front knuckles
    -Brembo blank rotors
    -Hawk HP+ pads
DA trailing arms, rear disc conversion
    -Brembo blank rotors
    -Hawk HP+ pads
    LCA polyurethane bushings
    front sway bar polyurethane bushings
    rear strut bar
    front strut bar
rota c8's with falken ziex (junk)

    interior:
    new aftermarket carpet
    del sol seats, green stripe
    si rear seats
    si center console
    si gauge cluster
    apexi vafc
    grant steering wheel
    autometer boost gauge
    autometer a/f gauge

    In the works!

obd1 conversion (have chipped p28, distributor, harness is in the mail)
    -will be running crome
    drag cast turbo manifold t3
    garrett t3 .42/.48
    jrc fmic
    custom piping
    custom oil line kit
    450cc injectors
    other misc ****

I'm sure theres a ton of **** im forgetting lol

    Anyway onto a few pics:

removed this steaming pile of ****

    rebuilt then installed this:

how she sits tonight (pic sucks!)

couple other misc pictures along the way

Chris, how about a little wire tuckin while you're at it? haha That's how you rep the D-stroyer. I'd run it again, but it'll look a little too funny in an Integra.

LOL well my engine harness looks to good now to hide it, i literally redid the entire thing. Troubleshooting with a wire tuck kinda scares me. maybe i'll do a mini-tuck and hide a few things to clean it up some

Good question, the motor needed rings, and i got ripped off on about $900 worth of transmissions and each new one had a grind, so i jut got irritated and sold the swap. I never had any issues out of the d-stroyer so i rebuild it and threw it back in

Thanks, i never dyno'd the d15b2, i more or less used it as a learning experience as far as tuning. i ran it up to 11psi and it was surprisingly quick, infact i really beat the hell out of it and it never blew, it just started using quite a bit of oil. i took it apart expecting the ringlands to be toasted but everything was in tact, the rings were just worn out from high mileage.
