EF squad- please read.

I deleted your "for sale" thread. I did so for two reasons: 1. You are supposed to have a "for sale" or "wtb" thread in the correct forum. 2. You had quite a few "members" that had that thread been in the proper forum would have gotten your thread deleted anyway since they themselves do not qualify. Some didn't even come close.

Sorry guys. While I understand you guys are trying to help each other out with parts and such, it is not allowable to make a for sale thread or wtb thread outside those forums, especially when a good number of the posts involve members that would not be able to sell on IA otherwise.

I hope you guys understand that.

See...now Jaime, don't get me wrong. I understand why you're doing this, so forgive me for what I'm about to say. But at the same time, the EF Squad decided to have our own for sale section because it's not ALL that often EF parts went up for sale in the classifieds area. And when they are...words like "CRx" or "EF9" or "EF8" aren't useable "search words." So it made it rather difficult to find EF parts that WERE for sale. And if you were to type in something like "Cluster," it would bring up a ton of results. Hell...even "EF Cluster" would automatically filter out "EF" and you're stuck with a ton of results for cars that are worthless to us. It's kinda ****ty we get stuck with a damn filter just because we happened to buy a car with only three letters...or 5...for the civic...but if you type in "Civic," good luck finding ANYTHING pertaining to anything we need.

On account of this valid point, I'd like to request that the EF Squad be allowed to have their own for sale section in the EF Squad area. After all...with the exception of "breaking the rules" what harm is it really causing the site?

I hope my requestion and/or idea will be taken into considertion by mods and/or admins that we be granted this exception.

What if we over look the wrong forum part, but keep an eye on the f/s requirements? I can see where you are coming from, because some guys might of been trying to cheat the system, but I can keep that under control.

So if, I keep the noobs from posting (peeps that don't meet the requirements), can we keep it? If you say yay, it would be ran within the rules, but you say nay, that's the end of it and no one would ***** or complain about the ruling anymore.

i understand both sides, but as darryl is saying, we have policed our f/s section very well for quite some time, and i didn't know we were "flying under the radar" so to speak w/ that thread/section, and no one ever said anything about it...

but i do understand where the mods are comming from so dont get me wrong, but it just helps us out so much having it in our section, not having to dig through countless threads looking for an EF part.

It will keep getting deleted. And if you continue after that then the section will be deleted.

Look, I don't like it any more than you guys do, but the bottom line is that rules are rules and we have to enforce them. We don't make them. IMO someone who is mature and rational (IE NOT SkInNy, judging by this post) should PM Julio and/or Paul and discuss it with them. You might be able to talk them into making an exception for the EF Squad. I understand what you are saying and agree about the seperate FS section in here, but if we let this section ride without their okay it can be our asses too. Jaime is doing nothing more than his job.
