LOL yesterday was a long day
I got to Uproot's apt around lunch time and fixed a coolant leak while JDMJAYDC2 installed an auto cluster with a tach. After checking for leaks, driving it around the complex and BS'ing with Jay and Uproot, I though it was road ready. I thought wrong LOL. After about 20mins of driving it started to over heat. So I had to start about 5 times. The last time, we pulled the thermostat out and ran it that way. It was werid because at certain angles the car would start to overheat and like going down hill it was cool. I think I may need to bleed the system a little better. So a 35min drive took about 3hrs LOL. So I got it home and Jay and I decided to throw on the JDM front and we called it quits around 1am. I would say it's about 90% done, and picture will be up later.
it was a long day but hey we got to see a matress fly off a truck, got to work on the hatch somemore, chill with some of your neighbors, and now you can see your car auto shift with the tach. lol oh and one lil blue hatch punked out of a lil simple street race for some cash lol hey guy we both need to jump alan and make him tell us how to get our consoles to sit in flush like his

If everything goes as planned, the hatch will be getting towed to Columbus this weekend (since I'm moving back on campus). So Project EF Hatch is going to get push to the back burner (or is it :ninja: ).
Anyways, I been doing some research on b20vtecs with stock bottom-ends. I used to hear that was a big no-no, but now I see people safely revving theirs to 8.5k with just replacing oem rod bolts with arp rod bolts (I thought that mod was only good till pre8k revs). This got me wanting to do a b20vtec even more in the rex, since I wouldn't have to pay for the machining and such. Plus, I highly doubt I would ever race the car (that's what's the hatch is for :ninja: j/k or am I :ninja: ). Also, if you know me, I rarely hit vtec anyways. Just something for me to ponder.......
Since, I haven't done anything to the EG lately, I guess my focus is going to be here. So majority on my money this summer is going to go there. If everything goes as planned, I'm going to buy the following:
-springs (that ***** needs lowing bad LOL)
-struts (might as well since I'll be changing the springs)
-aftermarket LCAs (they look pretty badass)
-ASR rear brace and 24mm sway bar (not needed but why not :boobies: )
-rear disc conversion (a big maybe here)
-paint and install the SiR Ferio wing (had this thing since the summer so it gotta go on soon)
-new molding (faded black ftl)
-EK side skirts
-New exhaust (wifey been complaining about how loud it is, so I swapping out her welded muffler with a catback w/ silencer)
-new rims (a BIG maybe, we'll how things look after the car is dropped)
-header
-intake
done!!! That's should complete the look of the "JDM" EG Ferio. A swap maybe down the road (some thing simple like a d15b), but for now it's a all show car. :goodjob:
H22 in that *****.
needs more speakers in the eg lol !
YOU should buy my wheels for the EG:D
Just purchased for the hatch

Now it's time to get the ***** running good! Hopefully, I'll get sometime to work on it this weekend. If I can get down to it this weekend, I'm going to work on the overheating problem some more. I believe I just got to flush the **** out of it since I noticed some gel on the thermostat. If I can't stop it from overheating this weekend, I'm going to pull the motor and start prep for the 5spd swap and mpfi conversion.
sweet darryl! this thread is dead, we need more updates!
take pics when you get to the hatch again!

Just purchased is rear anti-sway bar (the correct term). Summit has them in stock for $139 (i believe). They bad part is if you're a 88 crx driver (i dont know about hatch people), you have to buy a damn bracket (or switch to 89-91 lcas and struts) that costs an extra $50 !!! :2up:
Hopefully it's worth it. I would throw it on and come to the mountains with ya, but the head of house hold is coming down Thursday to visit. So that means I gotta wait to work on my car
Really? CSCC has a 1988 CRX Si as an autocross car, and it has front and rear ST sways and the rear bar drop links bolt to a hole in the '88 LCA. TMK, the '88 hatches should have the same rear LCA as the CRX.
I was looking at the mounting scheme to see if I could snag the rear bar for Barber this weekend, but no dice...and I don't want to swap suspensions.
