Had the balls large enough to come up with me to the recruiter's office and sit down and talk to my recruiter about military life, and what the marines can do for him. He even took the pre-asvab and passed.
I just thought we should make note of his accomplishments and bravery...not everyone can walk up to a recruiter (from any branch) and sit down to talk with them...let alone a marine recruiter.
Congrats, Drew...now we're on standby to see what your next step is

Drew's not neccessarily signing. He's simply finding out more information. He told me he had interest in going into the service...so I offered for him to talk to my recruiter. Unlike most recruiters...mine's pretty cool and down to earth. He's not gonna sit their and bull**** you, or say "if you sign, we can offer you THIS sign on bonus!" or anything like that. He just tells it like it is... It's up to Drew if he wants to turn to the marines, or ANY branch of the military to make a career of it.

Carlos, everyone, male, female, puss, tough, young, old, marine, navy, army, AF, or CG or even NG is all gonna have their own opinons. Most all of them are gonna be biased. Everyone I've talked to so far loves, and loved it. Again..as stated earlier in this post...it's not for everyone.
Nunya...tell me about it. What branch are you, what's your MOS, where you at...you can't just come in here and say no. Show your side of it.
Drew, yeah, man, I found it today. Did you talk with the army recruiter today, or are you going tomorrow? Spoke with Ruiz tonight and he said he's looking forward to hearing from you tomorrow no matter which "side" you take.

but my only thing is that after 24 years of military life and full military family im just saying that it is not what it used to be. It has changed more politics and who is sucking who to get ahead. But hey, Drew if you do want to go into i hope it works our for ya. And everyone who is it THANKS FOR BEING THERE

Drew, It's definitely a huge decision that takes time to make. Not something to come up with just overnight. No one should be pushing you...not even me. At the same time...even I'm guilty of the biased opinion, sometimes...

Cato, who? I'm going Marines. Drew is considering between USMC and Army... As for his MOS...I don't know, yet. As for me... 6000: Aviation Tech. I'll be assigned a more specific MOS/area of the aircraft after I finish boot.

im still going to use the military as a fall back but i want to finish truck driving school first and get married i wanna be kinda stable before i sign but i am not against military life.... kinda hard to do that when most of my family is either in or retired
me personally not in the service army brat since i was born to this day. i did however help during 9-11 with inciming soldiers to Europe, I worked for 6th ASG. But yea Drew i am pro Army if you do make a Choice, but Air Force tend to have the nicest bases that i have seen.
