    Default Clutch bracket?

Anybody ever have there clutch bracket break on their EFs? I just had mine break and had to replace it. I'll post pics of what happened, but I had to take the steering column off to get to the bracket.

and by "I" had to do it I mean my cousin and dad basically did it, but still I helped. -.-... It was a pretty big pain in the ass though because of the positioning. LMK if this happened to you guys

By clutch bracket you're basically talking about the pedal assembly right? I have seen these break, but only on setups with extremely high pedal effort. Such as, using an ACT Extreme pressure plate with a 4-puck on Hasport's ****ty hydro conversion which binds.

I have swapped out the pedal assembly, and I agree, it's a *****. I don't want to ever do it again.

It's not the pedal assembly, its the actual bracket holding the pedal, maybe it is the pedal assembly, Pics will be up in a few minutes.

Yeah, that's the pedal assembly. They can break, especially when you have a clutch with high pedal effort. If you look for posts by 2point2 on Honda-Tech, you'll see he has a weld-in solution that will fix this problem permanently. I'm familiar with the R&R process for those damn pedals too, I did it when I converted my car to 5-speed.

To fix the squeak get some lithium grease and apply it liberally to the clutch pedal helper spring.
