So if I had a goal of 200 at the wheels with my LS. Which would be cheaper to do...

Thinking of seeing what I can do with this other B18.

Put a mini snail on it after rebuilding it (bearings, seals, rings, gaskets)
or
rebuild it, new bearings, seals, etc, and go LSVTEC?

if you can do the labor yourself then it would be turbo! LSVTEC would take too much money to get over 200hp. Talk to Slowhatch, I believe his stock turbo LS makes around 200hp.

Oh yeah people my whole complete 88 Si interior is for sale: door panels, seats, carpet, and complete rear interior! I prefer sell everything together (complete), but willing to part out if you need something! I will post pics either later today or tomorrow of my interior!

Honestly I dont know, but LS's are boost happy. I know mainstream had a 400-600hp (dont remember how much hp) LS with a stock bottom end, so LS's are good with boost. Like I said PM slowhatch (since he hasnt been in the thread lately) and ask him how much boast he's running. I dont believe it's over 8-10lbs tho! :goodjob:

I've been told by many how strong they are, even stock. However, this engine DOES have 140K on it, so the parts have seen a little use. I figure why the hell not. The engine is out of the car, anyways. Just have to convert it for a stick shift.

Teach me about turbos, though. What's the t04, t24, t28...etc etc, what does that man, and how do I read the numbers and how do they differ? (for example turbo a builds alot of boost, but has a long spool time, etc) I'm looking for something to strap on the motor that doesn't have alot of spool time, and will still get me around 200 (maybe a little more) whp.

We took a joy ride today...........no wait a minute, LOL, we took a road trip to jhot today. We were only going to get D's front seats, but you know how much of a baller D is LOL he has gotten himself the JDM rear seats too! I envy D!!!

As for turbos, I'm not the guy for that. I'm N/A for life. I do know that the T# is the turbo size. T28 is a baby turbo (and come stock on many cars) and many honda run T3/T4 hybrid for less lag and more power. That's about all I know. Halfwit might be able to tell you more and check Honda Tech, because I learn alot from them!
