I can rebuild transmissions... I'm not going to install them though - you'd have to bring me the transmission out of the car. How much you will spend on parts depends on what your tranny needs and what you want to replace while you are at it. You can buy rebuild kits for about $300 that include the main and diff bearings and regular brass synchros. Such a kit does not include synchro springs ($50/set) or needle bearings (~$15/each and there are 5 in the tranny) or synchro sleeves. Carbon synchros are $150-$200/ set. Synchro sleeves are about $100/each or you could get a 3rd and 4th sleeve with the 3rd and 4th syncrhos for about $200.
I currently have a B16 w/ LS 5th for sale for $450 that is in perfect condition (I'll take a grinding YS1 GS-R tranny as a partial trade).
wordddddd.
my car is so frustrating.
local guy bought one for that price. whats the production numbers for da gsr's?i believe about 5,000... so you pay for what you get.

He overpaid. $500 if it's perfect and clean and you have a good reputation and find a buyer. YS1's came in all 92-93 Integras... the short geared one came in the GSR here AND in the XSi and RSi in Japan. It's less common than the 90-91 B16 trannys, but usually doesn't go for a lot more than them since they have almost the same gearing. You can put hyrdo B16 internals in a LS YS1 case and pretty much have the same thing as well (what I'm using in my car right now).
i know 92-93 da's were marked "ys-1" but this came out of a red 93 gs-r with a b17, my homeboy got the motor.same trans i put in my hf crx. it you can get the money why settle for less, alot of people like to low ball on here though. im from NY we are good salesman lol

Yeah, I know what it is... that's what I said... short geared YS1 found on the B17 here AND on the B16 in Japan. I just told you even more about what it is. What I was saying is, you have to be a hell of a salesman to even get $500 out of one (about as high as I've seen them sell for... including honda-tech, G2IC, etc.)... might get closer to $400 around here if you're lucky. $900 is like dilusional... I've got some parts to sell anyone who pays that. I just sold a perfect 90-91 B16 S1 tranny which is basically the same thing and it was hard to get $400 for it... took a few months with it being posted on 3 forums and even offering to ship it across the country. /rant![]()
