I'd like to be involved in the DA squad here in the ATL. I am an owner of a 1990 turbocharged DA9. I once lived here in Atlanta but moved to Texas some 4 years ago and I am now back in the ATL for good and looking for a DA community to hang with.
Would like to know what I have been missing out in the import community here in Atlanta and find out when the next DA meet will be (if you guys have any). Any help will be appreciated.
yeahh...
when is the next da meet???
and welcome to importatlanta dude
:goodjob:
the DA squad is dead....we need to rise up from the ashes...courtland where you at we need to get this squad alive! that was the whole point of us getting our own section!!!!
i feel ya we have all of these DAs roaming the streets and we cant meet once a month
I've been too busy with school and had stuff going on almost every weekend. I've had classes on Thursday nights so I haven't even made it to the Varsity meet in ages. It'll probably be the summer before I make it out to anything. I don't want to set anything up that I can't make it to, so I kind of gave up on scheduling them. I don't know what Cortland's been up to but there's a post a few threads down about him being back. Y'all get it rolling. I'll hopefully be back this summer.
since everyone is busy on the ideal days to have a meet
we should just throw up a random meet on like a monday
:goodjob:
anything is better than nothing
squad photos would be the shizzz
:camera:
we need to do summin! :2cents:
thats whats up thats understandable get your schooling and hope to see ya more in DA summerQuote:

If not, has anyone thought of rounding up all DA/DB owners on G2IC.com and making a large anouncement? If there are so many 2nd gen Integras out here in Atlanta, there should be no excuse to have the movement die down. Networking and setting an exact date needs to be set in place and not worry about other peoples schedules. People will always have work, family or school in the way, but if there is a set date for every month, people will come contrary to others schedule.
I also understand that weather can be a factor here in Atlanta, but communication and planning out a set date can be locked down to make a successful turnout and rescheduled until the weather allows for better turn-outs.

haha
11 is my lucky number
lol, that could work...
alright
well we got a set date now we need a place?
Haha, the DA movement is not dead. Cortland (jadakid88) and I were two of the main ones setting up the first meets and then several others sold or traded their cars. Actually the number of people on IA and G2IC with DAs has grown if anything (though the group of owners has changed somewhat from when we originally got this going on here last year). We actually had like 20 DAs at a meet last year around March and then it actually slowly declined a little. Weather has been an issue on many occasions including the last meet that someone scheduled a few weeks ago (part of the reason we had smaller turn outs at some previous meets). When I was posting them, I put all of the info on G2IC as well and even had some emails sent out on there. The idea of doing EF vs. DA and EG vs. DA meets has been floating around. There was a general all Integra meet before but the turnout wasn't so good from what I saw (I think that was one that they screwed around with the date and time on, too). For the meets to happen, someone who can consistently make it to them needs to schedule them and not screw around changing dates and times. Also, most of us were getting bored of the Varsity really quick, but we couldn't ever come up with any other real good meeting spots that were fairly central that there was space that we wouldn't get kicked out of.Quote:

I think you meant to say every second Saturday of the month, though April's 2nd saturday does fall on the 11th this year.
Now for a time and a place....the Varsity boring now? Where would be a business establishment that people can agree upon without getting kicked out, a mutual location central of downtown of Atlanta? People sound off and make things happen.
hmm...places in/around downtown Atlanta that have large parking lots...that also wouldn't care if a whole bunch of us 'skreet-racers' brought all our cars to and chilled at...hmmm...
we sould meet up at this parking lot thats called c w grant pway on 75??????? wat yall think?????????
lol...never heard of it before...is it within/close to the Atlanta city area?Quote:

1. we need to have the meet on a set date every month (like the varsity) i prefer the weekend either saturday or sunday so "most" ppl can make em
2. we need i wouldnt say leader(s) but ppl that take control of the squad...
i would do it but for me to make monthly meets they have to be on the weekend. so if we have a clear consensus that we shall have a DA/DB or whatever type of meets every month which i would like to happen:yes:
3. location. need a central location but i think we should throw in cruises every couple meets!
so if you guys want to really get this squad going this is my :2cents:
Wasnt someone throwing around the idea that we should make every other DA Squad meet 1 week after Varsity..? I thought that's what it was understood to be before..?
