To race in these classes you must adhere to strict rules involving safety and also restricitons on modifying the engine and chassis so make sure you have a car that meets rules and regulation for your class. You can rent racecars if you don't have one. There are companies out there that provide the car, transport, maintenance, trackside support, engine building, building cars, the whole nine yards. OPM Autosports in Cumming provides such services.

To do trackdays, there are tons of clubs and series that provide tracktime. NASA, BMW and Porsche Club, Panoz and a few others.
