    Default AMS breaks 1000awhp

    The Dyno is maxed out at 1000 AWHP and we are waiting on Dynojet to call us back on how to get a reading.

    at the lowest Correction level we still broke 1000 awhp. F&*kING CRAZY!! Ill have a dyno video later on today.




    So basically the car made more than 1000hp and they are waiting to find out how much it actually made.

    Mmmm a 4 cyl making over 1000 to the wheels. The 4g63 is THE 4 cyl to be reckoned with. Bitches.

    granted the AMS car is bad ass, there are SEVERAL b series honda motors in pro classes running in excess of 1000hp.

    THey do awesome work, we are going up there in 2 weeks to get some work done on a evo and get it tuned!! They know there shit when it comes to the evos!!

    yeah, but John Shepard with his 4G63 is making well over that to all 4 wheels.

    1000AWHP is more like 1150bhp+ or something like that.

    I wonder if they (AMS) are really running a factory late-model EVO block???

    This was a customers car from Florida. They actually have two customer cars they are tuning this week that will both make over 1000awhp utilizing the GT45R turbo.

    The AMS shop car is using the GT42R turbo with a long runner manifold, but I have a feeling they might upgrade fairly soon to the GT45R also. They made 988awhp on the GT42R without nitrous.

    Oh, and the AMS shop car is a built 2.0l while the customers car is a 2.3l stroker block. They are revving the stroker motor to 8900 rpms.

    wow full spool at 80 mph, I love that nitrous spike.

    Actually the ecotech is the new brute force engine. Dont believe me, you can buy a 1000hp one from GM.... with auto tranny!

    Actually, that isn't a nitrous "spike". They had a bad tach signal, hence the spike in torque. This run was done on boost alone, no nitrous.

    ya i know 1439 guy is gonna flame me for this but fuck 4g63 simply dont like the engine because the power to boost. 45 psi and its not over 800 ? whats that about im sure there is one out there that is makin more at the same psi but still that and the fact that mitsu's are just junk i had one kept the maintance up on it and the motor took a shit i didnt even hammer it at all DD. wasnt even high mileage. as far as power goes with four cylinders honda > 4gay63. not to mention no one has really even cracked the shell of the k series turbo yet.

    the only realy one i have seen is like 12.9 psi k20/k24 hybrid- 420 hp thats just fkin sick. sleeve and do the bottem . jesus the power. anyways sorry mitsu guys that shit is for the birds. 1439 is a ass to be truth ful also just because he gave me bad reps for fuckin up a thread callin a galant a dsm. i didnt know i dont care better. u give bad reps to a person who doesnt come through on a deal. not that shit. like i said 4g63 is gaaaay

    I believe AMS was making around 988awhp on a GT42R at that boost level, so I don't know where you got your numbers from. Shep is making well over 1000awhp with 50 psi and spray. Probably in the 1200+awhp range, but he won't disclose his cars numbers.

    Explain to us again how this isn't impressive?

    there's no wrong way to go fast, if you're doing it then you're doing it. a 2L motor making nearly 1000whp through an AWD drivetrain IS impressive.

    ya different strokes. honda made their engines just for motor , not turbo. thats a big duh. but still props to ams im sure they worked their asses of on it.

    Sheps car doesn't have numbers because it never goes on a dyno. He hates them, and won't use one. Also, his car is making much more power than that with the setup on methanol now. 1000awhp is no joke. I seriously wonder if people understand how hard it is to make those kinda numbers to all 4 wheels. Lots of people throw 2wd numbers around, but when it's AWD, it's not so simple. Congrats to my boys at AMS. Martin, Eric, and Tim are great guys, and have always been there to help everyone since day one, including myself, so they get props from me on any and every level possible.

    Actually Shep dynoed his car at Buschurs shop not long ago, but only David and Shep know the true numbers. I believe Buschur and Shep were doing some testing on his motor since Buschur is now building them for Shep. Shep went all of last season on 1 Buschur motor without having to change ANYTHING internally. Very impressive to say the least.

    BTW, 4g63 motors are much cheaper to build than a turbo K-series. Any engine that can stand 1000+ hp without sleeving the block is hella good, WTF?!


    Plus, a AWD car that can run on a modified stock tranny and hit mid 8's in the quarter-mile is nothing to clown on. Especially when the crankshaft holds up to those brutal AWD lanches pass after pass.

    Yes, there is a website out there called "Mistubishi Sucks", but the 4g63 engines and the trannies are awesome pieces!

    I give redit where credit is due, and this warrants that.

    you cant compare AWD to FWD/RWD numbers, IMO. I mean thats ALOT of power, even if its not the highest out there, anything over 600whp is impressive whether its to 2 wheels or 4 wheels.

    not sure if it was mentioned but EVoKid from evowned.com made 1041awhp/999.83tq on the dyno and it also is an AMS customer car. i believe SAE corrected was 1023awhp. AMs i nuts
