    Default Busting into a 13...

I dont care if I hit 13.9999999999999 this summer, I want to be in the 13s and im so close. My best run last year was at import showdown with a 14.2@ 98mph. My 60ft was 2.37 IIRC. I have a FWD setup and I was spraying a 65 shot. I ran with a pretty much full interior and 18s with Kumho Ecsta 711s. Im hopefully going to be running a progressive 100 shot by the next event and smaller rims (maybe with drag radials). Do you all think this would be enough for me to hit a 13+ second run?

put some drag radials on and a half tank of gas and ur there.
i went from 13.8 to 13.5 bogging out of the hoel bc i never ran on drag radials. BG's own me. ur 60ft is kinda high, are u manual shifting?

Nope, its a shitty auto so no shifting for me. I managed to hit a 2.17 60ft at one point, but my time was horrible since I was having fuel issues.

if u pull it dwn to low or one and shift through the gears like that itll go faster. i drove my friends rx7 for the 1st time ever a dallas and he was just leaving it in drive and he went like a 12 something. i drove it shifting through the gears myself and powerbraking it off the line and i ripped a 10.7 or 10.5. LOL!!!

Kumho 711 are the worst tires ever, the 712 are slightly more expensive but grip alot better. I'd say 13s with drag radials!

Nope, when I bought the car 4 years ago, a manual wasnt an option for me since it was my daily. The car is practically paid off, so until I get my next toy, this will have to work. I went from running high 16s to knocking on 13s door, so not too bad. Im not out to impress, just break limits on what people tell me I can do in my car.

Is the Z31 an auto? Nope its a manual. Would be kinda hard to get an auto Z31 sideways. :jerkit:

Sounds like with the new tires/wheels and larger shot you shouldn't have any problems getting into the 13's

A smaller 17 inch rim with a low 2-2.1 sixty foot should yield a high 13, while spraying of course. If your goal is to just hit a 13.999, I don't think a larger shot is required but it would help.
