Its advised that you run tubes, but some people don't and don't have problems Just wanted to see what the average is of people running slicks with no tubes to ones with them, especially people making over 350hp. Thanks in advance

that really just depends on the type of slicks you wanna use. i've never heard of anyone using tubes in any modern type of drag slick, only old school bias ply stuff.
I was planning on getting some MH slicks. I'm not sure if they're bias ply though
dunno how much it helps, but after reading up a bit the only M&H tires i see that recommend using a tube is the "cheater slicks". the racemasters (the ones i've normally seen) have no mention of using a tube.
No tubes here on S3 w/toys

wow S3? What times and 60' have you gotten so far?
Just did a 12.2 @ 116 and a 12.3 @ 117 earlier at Steele. 1.8 60 ft. That track is kinda scary (gravel and uneven pavement a bit past the 1320' markOriginally Posted by pinoyboy

no tubes on mine
You dont have to use tubes in the slicks that recommend tubes but you just cant drop the tire pressure too low. Especially in wrinkle walls! And the tire size also affects your ability to drop pressure with no tube. Hope that helps

6psi of air, no inner tube...Never had a problem, yeah they leak out eventually but not in one event...

that is true but, the slicks still spin even with 7-8 psi depending upon the traction you get. if its spinning then you would need to bead it.Originally Posted by MidnightAuto

slicks are:
MH 25x8.7x13
MT 26x8.5x15
MT 26x10x10
none used tubes. didnt bead the 15's until recently..... 6-7psi

24.5x8.5x15 M&H slick on Bogart drag wheels...No I meant they leak after a while from sitting, after every run you actually gain like 2psi of air from the burnout and the heat....Originally Posted by MidnightAuto

If I do anything more to my car, it'll just be a head job and maybe W/I. With a head job, I should be running consistent 11's. Like you said, this setup is pretty simple and requires zero tuning.

Mine leaks too. I mark my wheels and slicks to see if they move but so far, it hasn't yet on six total passes.
