Default Mile Marker 1...4-10-10...results are in

If you are not familiar with the MileMarker-1, tehn you should check out their site at...

    http://milemarker-1.com/index.php

Basically it is a standing mile. Thinks drag race with only one car for a distance of one mile. Anyway, the results are in and only two cars (I'm excluding the jet powered Pontiac) broke the 200 mph mark. One of those cars was a street driven GA native. Congratulations to my boy Trini for getting to his goal in only three passes. Lets all thank baby Jesus for big boost and race fuel I just got off the phone with him and hopefully I can get the videos of this amazing run and get them posted up. A rough spreadsheet of the results can be found here...

And if piloting a R1 powered shifter cart isn't scary enough already...

Holy shit that shifter kart video is ridiculous. I've been in a 125cc one and that was scary fast, I can't imagine one with an r1 engine behind it. Quite a lucky spin though, no injuries. Cool vid

Though I probably won't be taking my car, I'm trying to get plans made to go with Trinni. Would be nice to get a convoy for the short ride out there.

well, I am shooting to run a few at Maxton, at least one at Texas. My buds are bringing down a C6Z06 that grenaded a motor at the Texas Mile in October, it's nasty (1200 HP). I think they are bringing a boosted colt too. I have a dually, and am buying a new trailer this week, you are welcome to join. I am going to run the M3 for sure, might run the wifes Civic at Texas (no cage)

Thought you might have been GT35RM3 from another forum. Assumed by the talks of you taking your M to the Texas mile taht it was perhaps boosted. It was a little deductive reasoning as I know he has a boosted M3 and is from Coweta as well.

    Its slow... I promise

nope, it's heavily modded (it's a race car), not boosted (yet), have DPN2O kit, not sure if I will ever get around to installing it. I have a large group of friends from up north who run these events often, I raced SCCA for years and got bored with it, time for something new.

i was there. im the number 61 car.

i staged behind the dude in the fucken shifter cart. when he got off the line, it was like watching a bear trying to wrangle a fish. he went 182 mph and everyone was wowed.
2nd run the right rear tire exploded and the car spun out.

here are the pics i took.

That kart looks very well built. A lot of those liter karts and the like look very half-assed. This has some serious work in it. Must be absolutely insane to drive

I had a 2003 R1 Bike with some bolt ons and it was a total monster at 385lbs. I can only imagine how fun that cart is.
