Unless you are a factory driver, you typically have to pay for your seat or the team looks at how money you can find for them.Originally Posted by OnURleft

In fact Toro Rosso is the ex Minardi camp and i remember those days when the drivers would basically always fund their seat.
Rally for me just cause I think that would be a bigger rush then anything else.

Its sad that so many are worried about money, I would be willing to make next to nothing for a free seat. If you want to be rich racing cars is a shitty way to get there

i would be fine with making just enough money to have an ok house and a cool car. As long as im doing what I love im happy

Road racing would be a close second, but Top Fuel/Dragster would be my choice. Wouldnt even mind crewing for a team. Good post btw!

ECR FTW!
Post duplicated when I edited. Weird.
Hey I never said I wouldn't take a free seat anywhere. I'd love to race in any series. I'm just a big picture kind of guy. I could race in nascar for a few years, then have a enough money to do/race whatever the hell I want. Now that I'm out of school and have a good job, I want to get more into amateur racing (SCCA, track days, etc.), and I assure you it has nothing to do with money.Originally Posted by Big Baller

Very hard choice between Drifting and Road Racing. Although, I think I would lean more towards drifting. Car; would like a built rb25 Nissan S14. If I were to pick road racing, I'd want a track built Evo X.
"Damn, Its Tyler"RaceReadyDevelopments
road racing with a built j swapped ej1 civic!
F1(Toyota), MotoGP(Repsol/Honda), ALMS(Ferrari P1), LM(Honda[I can dream right?]). In that order.
i would like to drift. but i voted for circle track for the money.
I want to see some of these cars you all speak of lol, like a road racing J swapped Civic, I'd love to see the classes lolol.
He'd have more success in a 4 door. That is why Honda chose it over anything else in JTCC. (Well, and Super Touring II rules said it had to be 4 door).Originally Posted by simontibbett
