lookin for some input on this 98 240sx.

ok, ive been desperately looking for a kouki 240sx, well i found one, hes asking 4500$ with 145k on it, so today went by his house just to glance at it. The rear tires are BALD some parts showing metal.
overall car looks good

aftermarket exhaust
5sp
interior is taken a part some
no cd player
no shift boot or knob
clear coat is peeling in some spots

stockstruts on lowering springs
ka24de (says it runs perfect, but im test driving it tomorrow)
seats look good
a dent in the driver side rear 1/4 panel (doesnt look too bad)

driver side windshield mold is coming off at the bottom

passenger side skirt clips seem to be broken or no hooked up

a couple small dings/scracthes(nothing abnormal)



and a nice ding on the A Pillar (this is probably the worst part of the car.(anyone know how to repair this?)

i am probably going to try and talk him down some, but let me know what you think. hopefully this will be my first 240

thats a steal he payed like 6500 for that car and i personally wouldnt take less then 6k if it was my car.

Ya 98s still have a decent value!!! I would get it and shit throw a lowball number at him. Worst thing he can say is NO. Then bring the rest of the money out. First thing though get rid of the KA. Or if your hurting for money after this just KA-T that hoe. Holla!

sounds like an awesome deal to me.

^^ there's no reason to get rid of a KA. It's a suitable powerplant. Not the best, but you speak as if its junk. KA's make more torque than Sr20s, its all in what you're going for.

well id prefer paintless of course, but ive researched and PDR cant do anything for pillar dents from what ive read, im thinking the best way is to do a drill and pull and fill/sand, but i dont do body work. how much would you charge?

Sup guys I just found this part of IA didnt know some many nissan owners were here. Only thing i would say is if its a swap, or auto to manual conversion just watchout or youll pay the price like i did.

lol... kouki88 on street706? yeah this was david's old ride I believe. He still owes me 125.00... originally it was 250, but he paid me half and said times were rough and he would give me the other 125 after he sold the car, but I'm still waiting for his call. nice car though.

lol yeah, it is a nice car, everything works on the inside now, 2 cel, one for the knock sensor and one for the fuel temp sensor, there are some more codes but its because the auto ecu is still in it, any one have a 97 5spd ecu?
