well yeah but besides the point, discomonkey's ls/vtec crx spanks k's and has done it over and over again. That car ran a consitent 11.6 and its never even seen a dyno. Its down now getting upgrades and a fresh painted shell but it will deffinately see 10's when its back out.

ive seen midly built kseries walk on a fully built gsr. For around the same amount of money as i would spend building a gsr( k series does cost more if you go all out), i could get more power with a kseries. ex- you have to get internals oplus bolt ons to get 200hp+ with a bseries where as you can get 200+ with a kseries with just bolt ons.
300 is possible but as paul and i fnd out, k24 block may not be the best route. They cant rev! Theres prob a secret to it bc i did see a dyno chart with someone having 320 hp(k24/k20 head) but 90% of the time, the power band peaks at 7500rpm where as a k20 peaks at 10ish.
Simple bolt ons- rbc IM(260), kpro(1200), headers(200), cold air intake(100-200). Most expensive part is kpro but that comes down every year. This setup can get you around 210hp. Also depending on the brand stuff u get and who tunes it. The only downfall to k series is that it cost more, 8/ BUT- more power. yes you can boost your b series or dseries for that much but im would rather have 300hp NA then 300hp from being boosted.
Cams, valve train, itbs, kpro, kid racing header, inj and fuel pump, good tune-250+. cost- 3000ish so, its all a mater of cash and what deals you find. Lol there are people that have those parts for alot less, so you can actualy do the build for less that 3k.

Old budget racer here, lol. I have yet to see a REAL 800hp Civic that wasn't sponsored by a shop or something roaming the streets. I hear of this and that but you hardly see anything over 350 as a DD in Hondaland. I hear you guys say some guy has 600, 700 or even 800hp, but I have yet to see them honestly. You shouldn't be too stuck on numbers though. Concentrate on functionality and performance. I had a Civic boosted, it was 360ish tuned by CFT. At that time nobody in Ga could get my car to idle, LOL. We've come a long way Ga.....

eh, doubt it. 800hp kseries would take alot of internals plus a good kit. Thats well over 5k. A good turbo kit might put u back arnd 3k for a kseries but i still wouldnt push it past 11psi. You may get 300-320. Im not one to push a stock block though, lol. ( i havent even boosted anything before, just heard stories)
Not to mention i thnk NA is more reliable unless you build your motor- but then you run into the cash problem, 8/. NA kseries is better that NA bseries. Yes boost is fun but to get those types of numbers- not practical for dd, and ur wallet. Lol- drag car then most def.
your right cause i got my car to idle in 2 mins with 1000cc's, spoolin has a 800whp civic thats not sponsered on here and so does d16turboed and jnv55 has a 800whp prelude. Where do you get budget from? I have over 6k in my long block, not counting the tranny/clutch which is another 1500. Or the other 2500-3000 in the turbo kit and ems. I have way more in my car then what i wanted to spend orginally and ill never get it back but im satisfied with it. And i wont even be done with it when its done and tuned within a few months ill be droping good grip on another turbo setup unless i decide to go ahead and get a truck and a busa or zx1400.
