I member the celica and keiths escort cool cars for show cars
Honestly, I take racing seriously. I mean it is competition! No one wants to lose! My car is slow and call me a ricer, I don't care, but if I can hustle a few lengths out of them to make sure I don't lose then I'll do it.
Rolls mean nothing, Digs are everything.
I love streetracing.
back then it wasn't about losing. you race to see where you were at, then go home and do work and then come back and do it again. it was fun. i never cared to lose at all. it just showed me that i needed to get faster. hell i know i would race one night, lose go home work on it all that night and come back out the very next night to try it again.
wait. how young did you start racing chase?
exactly how i remember it, josh green with the turbo eg that thing was a monster then jay got the motor and well.... matt has had more cars than anybody besides Chris Morgan. bob with the peanut that he reved the piss out of. all good memories it well never be the same i was in to mini trucks and hydro stuff and i had the straight ricer lancer
I like reading about the deaths of street racers in action. It's like Bible verses to me. Later, QD.
exactly how i wish it still was. it still is between the "mature" crowd out there but then you have all these new kids coming from calhoun and plainville that think there shit doesnt stink. i cant even come out in town without someone wanting to race me. i wish my supercharger was more quiet. its sad that i can rile all these v8 guys up. they come out on slicks and a bottle just to beat my v6( which isnt fast by anymeans). and i roll out on street tires as if im going to work...:lmfao:
I remember when Barrett Pkwy was a huge deal. I have just grown tired of the scene and stopped caring about going down there. I'd much rather just meet up and 'shoot the shit' rather than driving 2 miles, making a U-turn, driving another 2 miles.. repeat
I have been watching everyone from the back seat since 99 :ninja: and I had been getting info from my Guatemalan friend who all his relatives did the shit ("Mexican" ricers, thus I'm a ricer today) until I turned 16 then got the cooper.
First day I showed up at Panera I ran wesley :) I beat him :D then he walked me :( lol
My Guatemalan friend had a black turbo SI.
And regards to the running even if you lose:
I don't like to lose, and I know my car is slow. Sooo, why not make it worth it for both of us and make things even?
NITROUS makes anything faster. thats my thoughts for everything lol
he's right on that one. it didn't matter what you had, if you wanted to run it....thats what you did. people didn't BS or anything. it was simply "oh, we are running close to the same. lets go get a few runs in" and the response was 90% of the time "lets go, i'll follow you".
it didn't matter who won or who lost or by how much. we did it just cause we wanted to stack ourselves up against each other and see who came out on top. we'd tell each other what was done to the car and if everything seemed fair....we ran em. it was always old school "heads up, run what you brung, hope you brung enough" if someone had nitrous....everyone knew. nothing was hidden.
edit: of course there was always the BS runs you and your buddies would do, like this one guy that used to be around, chris. he had a rb20 or rb26 in his 240. i would run my lil teggy against him all the time just for shitz and giggles. he'd let me get a head a few lenths, then make his flyby. it was truly just for the name of the game. people were always friendly.
i think keith still has that escort. i seen him the other day leaving Advance.
well i know of one guy who's hood latch was always broke  :lmfao:
I had too :D
i officially hate my job and the people who order a paper to be delivered every day:(
