Default Chevy 350 v8 with trans cooler set up question

Ill start here to see if I get an answer, basically I wanted to see if anyone has experienced cooler engine temperatures, from running trans cooler lines from auto tranny to the radiator and trans cooler vs. just running from transmission to trans cooler only. My biggest concern is keeping my engine temperature cool as possible, and my swap is notorious for running hot. I've done some googling and everyone is split on the two different setups.

Update keeps it cooler and warms it up quicker on cold starts. Still need to get a 89 corvette radiator. And Taurus 3.8 fans to aid in cooling.
