    Default my new (old) suburban

it's not an import, but anyway, here's my suburban

I have ALOT of plans for this truck, but money's tight because i'm only 16 with just a part time job.

my dad got me this cheap because it was a trade-in on his lot, 3,000 with the rims which are 2 weeks old and new tires. 150k on it but it runs good as hell leather 3rd row seats, keyless entry ect

so far just gonna throw a system in there and clean it up some.take the gay ass hood scoops off and tail light covers maybe ditch the running boards

any input and criticism good or bad appreciated, i still dont know what direction i want to go with it.

use a heat gun or hair dryer to help peel off the hood scoops , after that use some "bug and tar" remover to get off the sticky stuff! also run some flow masters on it!

scoops/tail light grilles are gone. let me know what you think.

the paint is a little shinier now where the scoops were, should i wetsand it with some fine grit?

truck is wet in the pictures so the paint looks a little funny

give me some input... better now or better before?

+1 for a clean ass "burban" , look into a chrome billet grill , no flames or anything crazy , just straight chrome lines , and some clear sorners!

rims are ok...but the front would look better with a bug guard or a new grill. right now it looks plain.

thanks for the replies i might get a bug guard to kind of get around painting the hood right now but i dont know plastic ad-ons like that i never really liked too much. a bug guard will cover the bad paint spots on the hood pretty good.

billet grill is definately a good idea, i almost snatched the running boards off while i was taking off the other stuff but then it would look like a big milk truck or something so i left them

before it looked like the guy just ordered a shit ton of stuff from a JC whitney catalog and stuck it on there

Paint it all one color. Body color bumpers would also look very nice.

my dad talked to a friend of his and we're going to get the whole truck re-sprayed in white for a GOOD price.

Thinking about keeping the gold at the bottom but i'm not sure, it's kind of growing on me.

    plans so far:
cd player/amps/subs (possibly one of those flip out dvd players instead of a cd player if i can stretch my money a little bit)
clear headlights/clear corners/ clear tails (none of that 3d looking BS, just stock style all clear tails, not sure if theyre legal though?)
    billet grill

i'll probably buy the amp and subs from the classifieds here if i can find some i like that are cheap enough..

i hope to have all of this done by january.
