    Default some progress pictures

finally started putting some of the car back together and finishing my mock up stuff for all of the piping and intercooler/radiator mounting. it feels like i might finally be getting somewhere with it. figured i'd take some pics before it's all back together.

    changes made are:
-topmount turbo manifold, welded on T2 flange to keep my GT2871R turbo.
-new outlet to downpipe fabricated and heat wrapped, downpipe modified to clear framerail under car and tuck up closer to floor.
-intercooler relocated inside core support like dan and tracy's cars, should shorten intercooler piping considerably and help spoolup.
-radiator moved back 3" to accomodate intercooler setup.
-stitch welded various seams on the core support and painted everything.

after i get all this done and running i'm going to build ducting to pull all the air from the front directly into the intercooler/radiator and probably make an isolator box for the air filter (also ducted to the outside of the engine bay). this was just going to be a topmount changeover, dunno what happened

next on the list... KAAZ and paint.

they don't sell that color at home depot or my local autoparts store .

i think i'm going black/gold for the whole car so likely doing metallic black valvecover and gold coilpack cover. gold lettering on the valvecover and black lettering on the cover piece. then again, i change my mind every other time i think about it so who knows?

it may pick up a few HP from the new setup but i was going more for shortening the intercooler piping to help spoolup and get the power earlier in the revs. it'll also help protect the intercooler in the event of a crash .

Think you'll get enough airflow to the radiator with that setup?

once i add the blockoff plates it'll be fine. that intercooler was already front mounted on this car, i just moved it back to shorten the piping. it may actually work even better once the ducting is done.
