Default CRX Si--> CR-X SiR (in the making)

Well these are a few pics of my CRX with a EF front end installed. I haven't done much to the car and really need paint and to be lowered (so don't eat me alive about it now). So for I have:

    -JDM EF front end
    -JDM style amber corners
    -United Kingdom factory lip wing
    -15in bronze Konig Heliums
    -power door locks
    -door handles without keyholes
    -PasswordJDM front lip
    -JDM bumper pole
    -custom exhaust

There's more to come since this is just the start.

What is that growing on your front bumper?

There's nothing growing on my front bumper, but if you are talking about that pole. It's a bumper pole, an option on JDM vehicles to help them park their cars in tight spots (or because most of them can't drive). The top lights up lime green to help them see the front of the bumper at night.

Honestly I could of did without, but it came with the bumper, so I went through the trouble of finding a switch and wiring it up.

haha, well you should have technically have it mounted ont he pass. side unless your gonna do a righthand drive. the point of it is for people in japan to have something to judge how close to cars on the opsite side of the drive since shit is so crowded thurr

although that is VERY nice. i just got a project CRX im working on de-ricing, and then going to do a JDM front end CF ZC hood, and either ls/vtec, or b16 swap

True, but like I said it came with the bumper. I wasn't going to go through that much trouble for something I'm not going to use (unless I'm at a show or something like that).

Oh yeah, your plans for your CRX sounds pretty good, except that the ZC hood would not work with the "JDM" front end. The EF headlights are longer and the front bumper is mounted out further than the factory bumper, but the zc hood would work fine with the factory front end.

Yeah it would. The main difference between the USDM and JDM hood (besides the length from front to back) is that center of the USDM hood goes inward while the JDM hood goes outward (I don't think you can tell in the pics tho). That's why most people with dohc engines (both b-series and zc) have trim under the hood or let it rub, but with the frontend conversion you should have more than enough room.

Oh yeah if you do the front end conversion you save like 30-40lbs in the front too.

Damn J, this thread just improved greatly

No offense dude but nobody here cares about the JDM cb antenna sticking on your front bumper. Front end conversion is cool and you are off to a good start with it and the end product will look good. But the CB ant. on the front bumper really needs to go.

Well in Japan it served a purpose, here it looks like a miniature CB ant. Go to any wal-mart and you are sure to find something very similar to it hanging on the rack. It takes away from the car and makes it look like some redneck hick owns it. I mean look at the full blown JDM crx's that are in the magazines or shown on Option's videos. Glass roofs, power folding mirrors, climate controls, coin pockets, etc. Not a single one has a "parking guide" on it. Thats like taking a Ferarri and putting Curb Feelers on it.

Okay why is everyone still talking about my bumper-pole? I posted pics of my CAR, that has a BUMPER POLE installed on the bumper, not pics of my BUMPER POLE that is install on my CAR (get the difference). I just wanted people to see pics of my new project, that's all. I'm sorry that my car does not have a fake black widow kit on it with 19in chrome rims and a nasty 15in wing, I can't forget about the duals on a 4 cylinder. That's not my style. I been there, done that. I went to the NOPI Nationals in 2003 with my riced out car and placed 2nd in my class. That's not my style anymore. I just want a clean stock looking car that's all. Sorry Import Atlanta that my bUmPeR PoLe offends you.

Read my response dude. The front end conversion will look good once it is finished. The "bumper pole" detracts from the look of the car.
