Hahaha so true. I drove mine for only ~110 miles stock before I slapped parts on it. New pulley and mid pipe should be at my house tomorrow

Which is like 600rwhp in C6Z terms hahaha. 03/04 Cobras need a good 100rwhp advantage to hang with a c6Z. The GT500's even more being they weigh in at around 3900lbs. Those C6Z's are nasty

I concur with all of this...GT500 needs an extra 100 to run with a C6z or non z....

If the vette is making 500whp then the gt needs to make 600whp...

I always like that ratio !!!!! lol

They were never meant to directly compete...just happened to be that way sooo..

I love both cars..and I really came close to trading in the C6 for the new gt500....but ended up spending some more money and getting some more power...and for now I am content again...

When I start getting my butt whooped again it'll be time to upgrade !

Very true, but its fun to bet your chest every once in awhile.
My 4 seater muscle car can take your 2 seater, light weight, 20K more expensive sports car.
My 2 seater sports car can take your 662hp supercharged v8 while making 100hp less.
    It goes both ways

    DANG...meant 4 seater....lol

and its damn hard to find it for 55k...cheapest I was finding was 58 and up...but I believe you on the subject..

Bases are also the lightest...mine is lighter then a Z06...by a few lbs...I tipped the scales at 3208 but I have saved approx 40 lbs off of stock so I am about 3160....the Z is about 3200 lbs..

ok, parts showed up sat while i was at the beach so i cut my vacation short and ran home. sun morning i got started reasembaly of my engine. ran into a few snags along the way but nothing major. i had full intention of posting a startup video with this post but hopefully that will happen this afternoon. the last snag was the arp head studs were a lil taller than factory bolts and were in the way of the headers so i have to pull them and do a little grinding in a few spots. i wanted to take more pics but with the parts in my hand "AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT"
