Default My '76 Datto AKA Penske

Got my DSLR back after my girl used it for a month for some school stuff. Gonna be laying frame after tax season! White walls on 14 dog dishes! And my backup 15x10's for fun drives.

I've never seen one of these, rare? Kinda cool, something different and something not everyone has.

Very nice truck, MM. Going to look good sitting closer to the ground with those 14's. dude. Looking forward to seeing it then, too. I know where a shop/yard is with about seven of these sitting out front. There is a phone number on the fence out front. Next time I'm that way, I'll get the number and pass to you if you're interested.

It's not necessarily a rare truck, Bri. I see these things all over the place still. They're not common place as you see them every day, but they are a lot more common than say any other Datsun models. Later, QD.

Hey, QD, I'd love to know where they're at! I have a fuel cell for this thing, but if I can find a good tank, then I'd totally go that route and sell the tank off. She's such a great truck. I see myself keeping her for quite a while.

It's not that they're rare, just that they're rare to see on the road. Datsun's are getting more common now, since they're so cheap to acquire, fun to drive, and cheap to own. I got this truck for $800! Drove her home, washed it, put maybe $100 into it, and I've been driving it since. I consistently get 30-35 MPG even with a big carb.

Wow! That's awesome. Well, good luck with it! I'm sure there are many things that you plan on doing to it to make the value go up.

I definitely want to see it lower, but laying frame? I just don't want to see it get beat up.

One of my project ideas after college is to turn an old datsun truck into a drift truck. (lol, contradicting myself by saying "don't beat it up" then "drift truck")

This trucks gonna be safe from the ground. lol I plan on welding skid plates to the chassis. The ground is harsh. lol

I may or may not go that low. Right now I don't know since I'm waiting for taxes first.

You can do it cheap! You just need an old beat up chassis. I know of one for $200 in SC. Someone's beat you to the drift truck though and he's even in the state.

New/old rims! Now I have clearance to drop the truck even more. Just need to slap some tires on it.
