Default dipped back into my childhood

Growing up, my dad always had a lot of old vws around. All air-cooled of course. It was always a running joke about his 12 sec 0-60 times. Anyway this weekend I went back to that side of the family and picked up a 2001 S4 and I'm pretty pleased with it. I have been looking for one I liked for about 4 years now. This one was a deal I couldn't pass up. I have to replaced the cats but other then that its good to go. For the people that know nothing about this car it has a twin turbo v6 and a six speed. Full boost hits about 1800 rpm. I still got 25 mpg driving it home from Ohio last week. Here are a few junk photos I snapped today before the rain hit. I'll have better ones later.

Very nice! I have heard great things, performance wise about. These cars. I saw a video not to long ago, something about 10sec 1/4 mile on stock drivetrain and a few mods. Not to much money invested for a legit sleeper LOL.

I don't know about classic, but these cars, too me, are good looking. I'd love to have one as a DD. Later, QD.

Yeah I do my own work. First thing I did when I found the car is call my buddy to ask if we would be able to yank the motor the turbos when the time came. Plus at the price I got the car at, I could sell it broke and not lose to much money luckily. This one has a new timing belt, water pump, brakes, wheel bearings, control arms, and all new fluids throughout the car.

Yeah 7 thousand is an average, you can find them in the 6 thousand range with issues. And I have seen the stage 3 ones go for as much as 14000.

Definitely a great car and love the color. As recently stated, if u can do the work ur good to go. Stage 3's can really hurt peoples feelings from what i have seen. I would love a 2.7tt swap in my b6 lol

Always loved these cars. Used to drive a 98 A4 1.8T and always wished for more performance-wise....not to mention a manual tranny. Only problem is what these guys already stated. Those damn Audi's break about every 3 seconds. If you ever have any issues with working on it and need any advice or just plain don't want to work on it, take it to Eurasian off of Pleasant Hill by Home Depot and Best Buy. The Yost's do great work on these cars.

I'm not from Ohio, I'm from Tennessee. I went to akron, oh to get the car (again, really good deal). Yeah I can't stand the rusty tag bolts but that's the only rusty part of the car.

Got my downpipes ordered, also some new egt sensors and water temp. Needs a new dipstick as well, mine is damaged some and I don't like that. Also pricing coilovers and looking at wheels. Gonna just drive as is until the turbos go then upgrading to the tial 605 kit. Makes 650 to the crank with the fueling to support it. Also priced a long block that i can build as a back up. I kind of like being prepared.

Sounds like you've got your plans in order. 650 would be insane! you make that sounds like it's a pretty simple upgrade. I'm assuming it's pricey?

I'm sorry. I meant 600. It's not to bad. 3500. I can upgrade to the bigger kit for 750 but I'm not looking to go that crazy.

Best looking A/S Audi ever made. I became a fan when they were being used in SPEEDVISION Touring and BTCC.

It's funny, I've never been a silver car fan until I saw some clean s4s. Overall I love the car. Comfy in all the right places. If you don't beat on it to much you should be good.

Looking good. Enjoy being quicker than most sedans on the road. Or just about everything else for that matter.
