Default Jeep fun with a bad ending

Finished up installing a new transmission in my 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee and took her for a short off road ride. I've been down this trail many many times without a problem but for some reason I got hung up in this vary small creek crossing and my Jeep sunk like a rock.

Got it back down on all 4

Then the roller fairlead on my winch broke causing my winch cable to snap.

Gave up and called some friends to help me get out. After a few hard pulls my freinds Toyota got my Jeep out.

    Damage was already there.

So during the precess the angle of the Jeep starved the oil pickup and my motor decided to spin a rod bearing. So with only 20miles on my new transmission I blew the motor.

Didn't want to try shutting it off soon as it lost oil pressure until it got on level ground and you could pull the fuel pump relay/ignition relay to prime the oil pump?

Never lost oil pressure. I didn't think it got that far over until it started making the rod knocking.

Not going to give the Toyota a hard time. I've watched that little truck go places that blew me away. Plus for a truck half the weight of my Jeep it yanked it out without a problem.

In a month or two I was going to pull the Jeeps motor apart and replace the rings along with the valve seam seals due to it smoking like crazy. I found a crate motor for it today that I'm going to try to get.

That sucks man. I blew my share of axles and drive shafts in my wheeling days. Always sucks to break something right when you think you're good to go.

Finding the weak points is part of the hobby, sure it sucks but its still fun.
