Ok I can understand clearance but keeping it cool ? Isn't that what radiators are for lol. But i guess if its used for a meaningful purpose then

Stock radiator + stock engine = fine

stock radiator+ larger swapped engine never ment to go in that chassis+revving the piss out of it= we better do something a lil extra to keep temps in check

    If i had to guess

Tilted hoods don't do jack shit for Hondas unless the car is parked, but then why not just pop the hood to let some heat out?

technically while the car is moving forward at a high rate of speed that small gap from the tilt actually sucks in cooler air kinda like if you were to crack the windows a bit while driving, i cant think of the exact nerdy name for it but it does in fact cool your motor... but does this specific car need it? doubt it.

EXCEPT what is there to cool right there? Nothing. Unless you're running ITBs with a good setup directing air down there you're not doing much, you may get a little cooler engine bay temps but I think I remember reading in a magazine them testing it on a Honda and having no real result.

It's tilted up because the h2b sits straight up instead of tilted back like a straight h22 swap. With it being straight up it has clearance issues with the hood.

ACTUALLY the reason the hood is tilted is because of the H2B kit. The QSD kit sits the swap at a certain angle to where you have to prop your hood in the back, an EK is the only car you dont have to.

Big Mac, i forsee your intake tube killing your power...

Not a damn thing. Don't listen to these fools. It's all word of mouth with no actual proof. Its a 1.XL 4cylinder with TONS of room. How freaking hot can it get under there? The lifted hood just looks like it was in an accident.

If they are having clearance issues, customize your hood so it doesn't look so cheaply done.

Btw-I like the silver with the red engine bay. It "pops".

The only other way it can be done is to cut your hood out.....

Only reason hood is propped is for clearance with the h2b swap. I don't like this but it's either that or a cowl hood or a cut hood lol. No way I would prop I hood if it was just a b swap haha

Looks good man . Im not a fan on the tilted hood but thats a sacrifise you have to make.

To the idiots that think he did it just to be cool and acowl hood r the whole freaking center gone out of the hood get real. Its not that bad and alot nicer then some bull shit. The only thing i dont like is it gives the set up away everybody knows its h2b . Id drop the motor with spacers and try and get the hood to shut but i own a ek some im good to go lol.

252plus hp and 34.5 miles to the gallon all motor. 12.2 at 111

Car looks straight with the hood propped. I'm with the other guy on the lip though and the wheels, the rpf1 replicas looked better.

i was alwayz told it helps let hot air out....which keeps the motor cooler...and i rather space my hood than cut a dam hole in it...

    looks good...

and a far as the hood - looks good, plus it's your car... IMO it looks better than the hood it had when it was red...
You're right - I have no idea what I'm talking about...
