Default Forged Performance: July 2011 CHIN Motorsports Coverage

This past weekend the Forged Performance motorsports team headed to Road Atlanta, AKA our home away from home to spend our Saturday and Sunday testing some new setups and coaching our customers to push their cars and themselves to new limits. On Friday afternoon, we loaded the hauler with the Forged Performance GT3 and our newly race prepared GT-R and made our way to Road Atlanta. By 7am Saturday morning, our paddock was ready for the weekend's action.

One of our long term clients and friends surprised us by bringing out his Lexus LFA which drew crowds all day long. Immediately, I could see the gears turning in Sharif's head as he contemplated how he could convince the owner to part with the keys for a few laps around the track. It wasn't long before the LFA was seen by all, hot lapping around the track on both Saturday and Sunday even while a light shower of rain hit the track! Roy, the owner of the LFA seemed just as excited as Sharif to see and hear that amazing V-10 at full song. I know everyone is very interested in the LFA so stay tuned for an in depth review detailing how the car performed, track photos, GPS video and desktop wallpapers!

Most of the weekend Sharif was testing and training another client in the Forged Performance GT-R, with its new cage and host of safety gear. The GT-R recently went through a weight reduction and safety enhancing program, and the effects were immediately evident based on Sharif's comments. There were no timing devices in the GT-R as this was just a test session for the car but Sharif did put down some very fast times in the Porsche 996 GT3 and was giving ride-alongs to any spectator brave enough to get in the passenger seat on this 100+F day. Over all it was another great weekend of motorsports for us and despite the mind numbing heat everybody had a lot of fun and came home safe.

Special thanks to Chin Motorsports for hosting the best events we've ever attended at Road Atlanta. Lots of open track time, some of the finest staff, instructors and attendees you will find at a HPDE event. See you all next time, and please subscribe to our Facebook fan page for calendars and updates of all the events we attend.
