I know some "FWD Hondas" that would beat some of these in a straight line and a road course. lol Nice collection though.

The idea was to let people know that it wasn't the typical meet/event photos that we see in here regularly thats usually saturated with hondas.

Thanks for these great photos. It was a great time dispite the heat and bugs. I finally got to show some of these heavy HP cars that the Hondas can still run with them even after a 20 year old NSX design!

How fast were you going and what cars did you beat/lose to? My buddies and I were actually really curious as to how quick your car was.

I was very happy with the event. I raced about 8 times and won almost off of the runs.

    I have about 450whp and 350 tq.

    I beat the:

    2012 GTR
    2011 Camaro 474whp SS
    2012 Ford GT500
    2010 Z06
    2010 135i (Black)

I lost once to the GTR but I was in the wrong gear.

I wanted to go, but the Dually is down and I still haven't done more than a few hundred miles on the New Motor yet. Given my track record for catastropic motorsports disasters, I figured it was wise to sit this one out and save it up for Texas.

The Texas Mile. It's like Maxton, but you get some faster cars because the safety requirements at Maxton are pretty tight. There are tons of crazy fast street cars, but most of them wouldn't pass an ECTA tech inspection with 100 dollar bills taped to the dash. So, they head to Texas Mile. For Example, my buddy ran a C6Z06 with 1200+WHP and no cage in the 220 class.

Dont get me wrong, I agree that race cars should be safe to some degree, but if they are going to let guys run 250+ on bikes, a Z06 is probably safer at 200+ with no cage.

Not true. I ran the texas mile in March and whhile there a z06 flipped over while going 232 mph. He crossed the finish line at 202 upside down...someone was praying for him because his roof because he only had a 4pt roll bar.

Great event, but some people only consider high HP but nothing in terms of safety. There was a Ford GT (Mullet) and he would run 223 all day and night without a cage...only a helmet. WTF????

You know what I mean, exception vs. rule. For the most part, cars are safer at any speed, and I raced bikes for 20+ years. I know plenty that have been killed on bikes at speeds under 100, even under 50. Hell, I spent 3 weeks on life support from a 40MPH bike wreck. At the end of the day, so many legit 200MPH street cars would never pass ECTA tech. Going those speeds in an unprotected car carry a risk, and most of us have taken that risk at some point. The drivers know this and accept this. I'd rather see folks doing these runs here, than on the interstate.
