    Default DC2 Build Thread.

    UPDATE PAGE 2

    UPDATE PAGE 3

I picked up a shell a few days ago. I'm still waiting on a swap, hopefully it won't take too long to get. The car has the optional sideskirts, sir front end, rsx seats and a jdm type r cluster. Here's my progress so far. I will update as I do more.

This is how I got it:

Started buffing the hood out, and buffed and painted the passenger headlight:

For some reason I just realized that the JDM front is indeed the way to go. What are your plans for the motor?

Front end looks clean from the pics. That is one helluva nice starting point you've got yourself there.

My plans are to throw an LS in it for now. I'll get a couple of interior pics up here in a little while.

Finished the other headlight, the motor should be here tomorrow. Then I can start the swap. I'm really itching to get the car on the road. It's not gonna be a perfect show car, but I will be proud of it.

Just had to splice the injector harness off of my old harness into my new one... Wiring is a bitch...

Still gotta wire in a couple of plugs, but it won't be that bad.

butt connectors suck, they always break apart.. even the really good ones; solder & heatshrink FTW

Yeah, I know. But if they eventually break they'll be easy to get to anyway. I'm just trying to get this shit on the road for now.

wow! Did not expect to see such a clean shell!

Good build man, and major reps for doin the dirty work yourself - ppl talk big when they haven't done their own grunt work. Feels sooo much better to see what your own hands have done lol, g/l with build!

    UPDATE

Finally got the car running and road worthy. I'm waiting on my exhaust to get here and then I should be good to go on daily driving it. I've made a few test spins to QT and stuff like that and everything seems fine.

I painted my VC yesterday because it looked like garbage when I got it.

    Before:

    After:

I also picked up a set of all red tail lights for cheap. Went ahead and threw those on:

Traded the RSX seats for Integra seats and cash. I hated those damn RSX seats. Too big and IMO uncomfortable.

And now just a couple shots of the car:

Still gotta buff the car out real good. If my exhaust gets here before Import Alliance I'll be heading over there and finishing the paint probably Friday.

I also need sleeves for the springs on this car. Dude I bought it from just left it on coilovers with no sleeves at all. That's why it's retarded slammed. So if anyone has sleeves LMK I need them bad.
